Shoutout to UPS for obliterating 6 full cases of 9 and delivering me a box of torn up cardboard with 200 rounds loose inside and one piece of spent Winchester brass and calling it a day

How TF did they manage to do that????
Dragon464@reddit
ANYTIME you have ANYTHING shipped these days, insure for 10x replacement value, including shipping. When the carriers bleed cash, they'll sack the apes.
13NeverEnough@reddit
That's on the seller
Dragon464@reddit
So stipulated. The two things are not mutually exclusive.
MVGbear@reddit
I’m not saying UPS isn’t at fault here, but who’d you order this from?
I order a 1000 round case a month from SG Ammo and my individual boxes all come tightly plastic wrapped together as a unit. I’ve yet to have one come damaged even with a banged up box.
publicalias@reddit
SG is great. They don't always have the cheapest deals, but they actually pack the ammo so it arrives intact.
I've bought from other sellers that just slap a shipping sticker on the 1000rd box itself. By the time UPS is done throwing it down stairs or whatever they do, there were so many rounds with visible setback
MVGbear@reddit
I like the free shipping after $200 deal. BulkAmmo charges shipping which often levels the cost, at which point I’d rather throw SG the money on principle.
Puzzled_Arm_3156@reddit
I order bulkammo because I have always got it the next day. And the cases show up pretty pristine.
Eris_is_Savathun@reddit
SG has done me solid for years. Love them.
fordag@reddit
Yeah this is not just on UPS, whomever packed that fucked up big time.
austinsutt@reddit
SG ammo is my go too as well. Great company.
CAPTAINxKUDDLEZ@reddit
Love the polarity in SG. A few months ago I posted how SG became my go and they were almost always near the top of ammo seek anyways so I just started going straight through them.
Reddit downvoted me into oblivion, apparently the owner pushed a panic buying agenda around COVID.
MVGbear@reddit
Don’t hate the player, hate the game. Its good for their business, I’d expect nothing less. Fudds are going to panic buy regardless.
VanillaIce315@reddit
They’ve got a great selection, ship fast and pack well, free ship over $200, and they used to be cheaper than most anyone.
Then they started pushing panic buying bullshit CONSTANTLY, and their prices are matched by many other retailers now. Still got a great selection, free shipping over $200, and good deals at times. But they’re polarizing basically over creating panic buying situations to make money.
highspeedfailure@reddit (OP)
Bereli—two other cases were individually packed and arrived intact, UPS genuinely must’ve run over a pallet with a truck
PutridDropBear@reddit
Good luck dealing with their non-existent CS
UllrRllr@reddit
They have always replied promptly to me.
8bit_dr1fter@reddit
Yeah, they seem to have like 2 people in customer service and they work from sometime in the morning till whenever their coffee wears off.
Inevitable-Sleep-907@reddit
I had an issue with them just once. Sent an email after hours on Friday and received a reply first thing Monday morning
8bit_dr1fter@reddit
Bereli’s packaging is hit or miss for me. Sometimes it’s packed up tight, sometimes ammo boxes are somewhat loose inside the box. But THAT is disaster.
justrobdoinstuff@reddit
Love S&G's packing, matter of fact it might be time to get another order from them......
East_Bug7312@reddit
Bro their packing peanuts always smell like straight cigarette smoke 😂

Obligatory “screw s&g” comment
Zaddam@reddit
@1hr from your question, I just scrolled looking for any answer who packaged this. Nothing yet.
TheMightyNubbs@reddit
Bulk ammo with cardboard delivery. Nice of them!
OkCarpenter5773@reddit
jesus💀
ChainringCalf@reddit
Who packed it like shit?
Synectics@reddit
Exactly. Flimsy cardboard to hold a handful of loose boxes that do weigh quite a bit? Just asking for the box to rip, everything to be tossed around. This is definitely on the ones who packed and shipped it so bad.
PapaBobcat@reddit
And a spent one? Someone went to the range with your box first.
rewig@reddit
I’m picturing this box getting smashed by something and a round going off in a warehouse or the back of a truck. Everyone around confused as hell.
Yahya_sindhi1502@reddit
OP said the spent casing was a Winchester round, the rest of the ammo is S&B
rewig@reddit
Ah thanks I just skimmed. I’m gonna continue to just enjoy this image in my head as it stands lmfao
zentient9@reddit
I ordered ammo every now and then and have NEVER had any issues like this. I thinkbits a supplier issue tbh.
jaunesolo81829@reddit
Could be worse. Could be me who usps just lost his thermal binoculars.
smokeytrue01@reddit
Out of the big three I have the least amount of problems with UPS, but I will pay extra all day long to not have to use usps
jaunesolo81829@reddit
For me personally the best has been FedEx. USPS is usps and ups I swear yeet my packages for fun. Out of the last 6 I’ve shipped , I’ve had to do claims for damages on 5.
MVGbear@reddit
I used to work for FedEx and they’re still my go-to. Your package might be late, but it won’t get lost.
czuinoikc@reddit
fedex lost of package of mine with several expensive mags and an aimpoint acro and b&t mount. nashville hub.
usps and ups also sucks. the only carrier I've had 100% success with is dhl.
GreatTea3@reddit
Same here. I had a bunch of CZ parts from South Africa come into the country and spend almost a month in the Nashville fedex hub before I got it. Fucked up because I ordered previously from the same company and had it shipped fedex and it went from South Africa to Virginia in 3-4 days.
C_IsForCookie@reddit
THANK YOU! I love FedEx. They’re the GOAT. Always deliver on time, my shit never goes missing, nothing gets damaged. I’m a fucking FedEx fanboy.
USPS is the worst and I wish they’d go out of business but the government makes sure they don’t. They lose ALL my shit.
UPS… eh. Fuck em. They’re overpriced and half the time they give their packages to USPS for final delivery those lazy sons of bitches.
sirbassist83@reddit
It depends on your local hubs. UPS is the best for me followed by USPS(as long as you're OK with the possibility of waiting an extra week or two) and FedEx is in a distant third place. I've literally watched the truck park outside my house, sit there for a few minutes, then drive away and make a note on the tracking number that "business was closed". I'm at the end of a dead end street in the most obviously residential area you could imagine, never mind the fact that they never even got out of the truck.
snippysniper@reddit
For me usps is the best around here. FedEx and ups consistently fuck up shipping it seems. It’s an odd experience but I’ve had way more issues with private carriers than I have usps. I feel like I’m the odd one of the bunch with my experiences
smokeytrue01@reddit
That’s fucked up, I feel like FedEx always loses my stuff and it takes another week to get to me, now USPS likes to send stuff to Kansas City where it sits for a week and then arrives damaged
chainmail97ws6@reddit
It’s ok, you can just smoke a cigarette to see the lasers in the blast door of the tank hanger.
sirbassist83@reddit
khronos127@reddit
Did you try finding the thermal binoculars with thermal binoculars?
bigdawg12342@reddit
I’m not gonna take all the blame off ups but if the boxes of ammo have enough room to bounce around that much in the box it’s 100% the shippers fault. I’ve ordered stuff from sg ammo and it came tightly packaged with no room for wiggling around. Even came with a hand written thank you card for ordering with them.
highspeedfailure@reddit (OP)
This is not the original box. They were packed tightly in an OEM S&B box that was obliterated and dumped in here
cgw22@reddit
Yeah idk OP hasn’t said who they bought from yet. Might not be UPS
highspeedfailure@reddit (OP)
I mentioned elsewhere—it was Bereli. Definitely fault on both them and UPS
LeAdmin@reddit
This looks like whoever packed that box tossed loose, heavy, flimsy ammo boxes in a bigger box with no support.
It is the seller's fault. The cardboard box it shipped in should have fit tight around the ammo/padding so it couldn't bounce.
highspeedfailure@reddit (OP)
They were shipped as factory cases, this box is just UPS tossing the remnants (including pieces of original box) into a pile
SplashingChicken@reddit
Cur that opening scene from Ace Ventura when Jim Carrey is kicking that guys package all the way to his door.
Alarmed-State-9495@reddit
This was packed poorly.
PM-PicsOfYourMom@reddit
I just had a USPS package do a full tour of the entire country. I had it refunded over a month ago and it showed up today smashed to shit.
https://imgur.com/a/N9kk9bk
ssoonr@reddit
I had this happened to me. Sent a picture to who I purchased it from and they made up the missing ammo. Same ammo, but I ordered the 124 grain.
superdupercereal2@reddit
I worked at UPS when I was 17 and started as a loader. At that age picking up a tiny box that weighed 60lbs occasionally ended up with it being dropped. A cardboard box dropped while weighing 60lbs didn’t ended up well for the cardboard either.
SOSB-Haru@reddit
Is it really the delivery service's fault or the company you bought it from who packaged the order?
🧍
SageViper_45@reddit
Now you’ve got me nervous for my shipment next week 😅
Puts_on_my_port@reddit
I’ve worked for FedEx, however I can’t blame UPS at all because it’s not necessarily their fault if the shipper doesn’t package their stuff properly.
ByteGuns@reddit
Freedom seeds, go plant them
mandreko@reddit
I bought a box of like 40x 64 oz mason jars for canning one year. It looked like it was packed similarly. I got 8 jars that were not shattered in a giant box at my front door.
pimpslap39@reddit
Too heavy
ShaolinTrapLord@reddit
Pour one out

Personal_Internet_68@reddit
More importantly. Who ordered only 200 rounds
highspeedfailure@reddit (OP)
It was 200 rounds and about 2000 rounds worth of empty boxes
Dragonnuttz@reddit
greatthebob38@reddit
The seller's packing skill didn't help either. That looks worse than Bereli or Rivertown.
ButtFluffMagic@reddit
When I worked at ups management told me "pack your shit better" when I asked thos very question
CapableSecretary8478@reddit
otullyo@reddit
Ace Ventura strikes again. Alrighty then.
Obvious-Appeal-7155@reddit
Been there.
WhoNoseMarchand@reddit
Idk I expect my packages to get thrashed around by carriers, and so should the people that ship product. I blame this on whoever you bought the ammo from for packing it like shit. If there's a void in the box, they should saran wrap it all together and fill the void with paper or styrofoam.
jbrc89@reddit
That's some fedex shit right there
netsurf916@reddit
As someone who once worked at FedEx, I can concur.
BLEMBUYER80@reddit
If a box is heavy, ups sorters will toss them onto shoots, a few tosses and a box like that will blow out. They are also standing on a metal grated platform, so those rounds will fall through. Oof, id be pissed
Suckamanhwewhuuut@reddit
I’m curious about the spent round, like, were they quality controlling it or… on a darker note, why would someone take one bullet? I saw it once at Academy. It was a box of 25 JHP 9mm and the box had been torn open and one was taken out. I’ve always been curious about that
wasteguy7@reddit
Oooooof
HeSureIsScrappy@reddit
They just did you a favor and unpacked it for ya!
Unlucky_Mycologist68@reddit
A crime has been committed here sir
mjm1374@reddit
They have been screwing up lately. Order a hard car from them 8 months ago. Lost it, replaced it. Delivered that one too the wrong address. Last Monday the first car shows up. Box in a box. Original box looks like someone took a weed whacker to it. Case itself, deep gouges
leadbetterthangold@reddit
That is just poor packaging. Hope they have better customer service.
East_Bug7312@reddit
Company did a piss poor job of packaging this, it’s ultimately their fault. I regularly have the same issue with Phantom Defense.
PullFromTheHurt@reddit
If you “regularly” have an issue with the same company, why do you keep giving said company your business?
East_Bug7312@reddit
I just explained it in a reply below
PutridDropBear@reddit
Regularly? Ever consider trying someone else that actually gives one shit whether you get your order in one piece or not?
East_Bug7312@reddit
When I’ve had it happen they always sent me more than I lost, I order ammo from a bunch of different places. I like their 5.56 77gr and 300 blk stuff. If there was somewhere similar that offered a similar price to performance I wouldn’t order from them anymore.
monicainabimmer@reddit
Whoever sold that to you packaged it horribly.
wlogan0402@reddit
Name and shame the company you bought it from
Rocky5thousand@reddit
Collect what you can, then send this picture to the distributor. It is ultimately their responsibility to make sure they get you your product. You might even get a sticker on top of the ammo they owe you.
Rocky5thousand@reddit
Still sucks that you have to go through it
