Dangerous or Fun?

This is a crazy ride! Definitely not for everyone, but it is great for slow rolling through the neighborhood and simple trails. Also great for grocery runs as long as you don't overdue it (which I did!). Stability is definitely a factor with these narrow/tall Trikes. What do you all think of these? This is a Viribus FC2 Electric Tricycle

They can be fun but I don't consider them very safe. This type of tricycle configuration is unstable when turning at any significant speed.
The inside tire comes off the ground, and the rider ends up on the ground.
A tadpole trike is much more stable.

Got a pair of meeting tour 2.0's, been outfitting them the last few days. It's a semi-recumbant so they handle a bit better than an upright. That said, they do handle different as the physics are opposite to a bike. With a bike we learn that to go left you apply a slight twist right on the handlebars, which due to precession institutes a leftward lean, which puts the left side of the tires on the road and that creates the arc thus the turn radius (think edge on skis or a snowboard). With a trike, to go left you gronk the handlebars left. It is totally unnerving the first several miles, especially on a hill or crowned road.

I tipped over the first time I ever rode mine, took a few weeks to recover from that, tipped over again, another week of being banged up, but then when I hit 30 miles on it, I at least felt like I wasn't going to die. I'm just over 100 miles now, and pretty solid on it. My mistake was setting it up like a bike (high seat, full leg extension) but once I lowered the seat, it was much more comfortable. I'm pretty good now at getting it up on two wheels in turns, and throwing my weight around to stay balanced. It's a much more "Active" (and fun) ride then I was anticipating.

While I've certainly had the impression I was going to tip, it simply has not happened. I'm 6'6", and have mine configured at full height and extension. The bike itself is 200#, and I'm 250#, apparently the center of gravity is low enough and the stance of this bike (32" wide) is such that I've not gotten up on 2 wheels...yet. My goal is to 2-wheel it a few times to find the limits in a controlled fashion.
But that whole thing about learning to ride a bike and the physics suddenly click is a funny thing to unwind. It really acts more like a cart or a quad than a trike and having a steering wheel rather than bars would drive that point home.

The first time I tipped I just underestianted the throttle power, and had to try and avoid crashing into a neighbors car. The second time I was trying to cut over a mound off grass on the edge of the sidewalk, and my handlebars weren't fully tightened. I'm a little shorter and a little heavier (not by much) but the Rottweiler only weighs #120, and is a little narrower.
I fully agree with the steering wheel idea, and that's how I have mine setup. It came with the butterfly handlebars, and Iadded the extension for mirriors, but I have nearly flat, with the controls all rotated to accomdate that. With the dedicated reverse function, it virtually has no turn radius and I can almost spin it in place.

Yes.
An e tricycle was for me! I got a Puckipuppy Rotweiller and LOVE it.
