I'm exhausted of the AI bandwagon and I don't know what to do anymore.

I'm a mobile engineer, and I have been doing this for the past \~15 years. In January this year, we got the directive to start using AI everywhere. Our whole company got restructured, we used to be one single team of mobile engineers, and then we got split into "squads" so we can work on multiple projects in parallel.

We used to have a designer who had put together a whole theme and style for our app to distinguish it from the rest. He was let go. Now we have one single designer for the whole company who is vibe-designing no-stop around the clock to feed designs to all these "squads" the designs are subpar compared to what we had before, emojis instead of custom assets, and things like that.

The PMs get these vibe-designs, the transcripts from our meetings, sprinkle a few prompts on top, and get a "PRD" out of that. Only some squads, mine we don't even get that.

Then, out of those extremely verbose, unreadable PRDs, we have Claude create ticket stories out of them that are equally unreadable, with unnecessary and nonsensical things such as quotes from meeting transcripts, tons of made up ACs, etc.

When we finally get to implement the features, then we have the PM and executives chime in with more changes because now that the "code is cheap" we can do, undo, do, undo, do things a thousand times over.

I do think that Claude is an extremely useful tool, and even after the AI bubble, this tech will stay here and will be the way to do things moving forward. But I am so tired of people pushing AI over everything.

Is it like this everywhere? Is there anything I can do to at least steer my team in the right direction? This is extremely exhausting
