Whole blood programs are very popular right now, but I do question the efficacy in some cases and think it makes more sense in more rural areas that may be 15-30 min or more from the nearest trauma center. I’m not against the program but I would prefer more work on prevention of trauma from car crashes rather than improving reaction after it’s already happened.

I am all for building new schools, parks, hospitals, police stations, and fire stations. Better than the other things cities spend their money on.

Plano approved a maximum budget of $140 million for a new Public Safety Campus that will combine a police headquarters and Fire Station 14.
Supporters say the project modernizes aging facilities and prepares for future growth.
For Plano residents: Is this money well spent, or are there other priorities you'd rather see funded?
