I'm a BTech student form a tier 3 college and my 4th sem just ended.
I have zero knowledge of coding and have several backlogs as well. Now I'm having 2 months break time .
I want to utilise this time and learn something useful.
I have started watching the free python course form YT channel - bro code.
Is it the write choice?

For basic learning brocode is good but for in-depth specialization I would recommend freecodecamp.

Learn Python coding from basic to advanced in your city with very good coding faculty. Don't learn online or with online courses or from YouTube. Beginners often make mistakes when they go to learn online.

IMO, learn C. 2 months of free time is absolutely enough time to build a strong foundation. Watch the free CS50x videos to get introduced to the theory (some of the lectures can be skipped over if you feel comfortable) and buy Deitel and Deitel's C book. Work through every single chapter- there are tons of exercises here that will rapidly make you comfortable with the fundamentals. Do every single problem and do not use AI. If you feel stuck after not being able to solve something using the resources in the book, I would recommend finding similar solutions online or ask an LLM to help you solve it by asking you questions that inspire your own critical thinking. Do not ask for solutions because you will end up at square 0 in the end.
After you get through the C book, I would recommend basic object oriented and some kind of intro to data structures. There are lots of free resources for this you can quickly find by Googling. After you get through C, learn a higher level language like Python.
You've got this. Just focus on the basics and the rest will come with practice.

What do you mean by "don't know how to code"? How exactly do you get through uni without learning how to code at all? I'm not being snarky, I am legitimately curious

Same as 50-80% of cs majors - Claude-ing their way out of everything every chance they get because they aren't actually in interested in ca
NationsAnarchy@reddit
What the heck did you study in the last 4 semesters?
Humble_Warthog9711@reddit
Theres no way you go through 2 years of CSE not knowing what material you are expected to learn.
Be serious.

yes , but you can prefer other good yt channels also and practice at leetcode.
