Help me upgrading my PC

Hey guys,
I’m looking for some advice on upgrading my PC, which I built around 8 years ago.
Current specs:
- Intel i9-9900K
- RTX 2080 Super
- 16GB DDR4 3600 RAM
- 700W PSU
My main use is playing around with AI tools and local LLMs. I also usually have around 30 browser tabs open at once for Uni, work, experiments, plus general multitasking. I only occasionally play games like Overwatch, CS:GO/CS2, and similar titles, so gaming is not really the main priority anymore although when i built the PC when i was 13 it was. Im upgrading to a 34inch monitor for sure. probably not OLED tho
I already know the RAM needs an upgrade, but I’m trying to decide whether it is worth putting money into 64GB of DDR4, or whether I would be better off doing a full platform upgrade to DDR5.
The PC still handles most of what I do decently, although the CPU runs a bit hotter than it used to. My concern is that my AI workload is probably going to increase, and I want to have more flexibility for local models and heavier multitasking.
The issue is that moving to DDR5 would likely mean replacing the CPU, motherboard, and possibly the PSU as well, so it becomes a much bigger upgrade than just adding RAM.
Would a 64GB DDR4 upgrade still be a worthwhile move for this system, or is it not worth spending more money on an older DDR4 platform at this point?
I’m mainly trying to balance value, future-proofing, and avoiding a full rebuild unless it actually makes sense. Not to mention RAM prices are absolutely CRAZY

I'm not an AI expert but I believe you would want a nice big GPU upgrade for that.
If you do want to upgrade, the 9900k is worth way more than it should be right now because it is the best CPU for that socket. I sold one a few months ago for $250 which is nuts.
