Any wax cube fanatics out there?

As I've gotten older I've started appreciating scents at home. I've been using scented wax cubes religiously for at least 10 years.
It's amazing what a difference it makes. I typically go for the fall scents because to me I don't care if it's out of season I like smelling spiced pumpkin pie in July.
I mostly buy my waxes from Walmart. Better Homes and Gardens. I have two warmers in my 800sqft apartment.
I just changed them and I put 1 fresh sliced orchard apple and 2 farm apple pumpkin in the larger warmer. I keep walking outside just so I can walk back in.
I do like some of the other scents, but I can't handle perfumey, powdery, or really sweet scents. I stay away from really floral ones as well. I absolutely hate a plain Vanilla. I hate the scent of vanilla when it's used as fragrance.
When I was growing up there was this perfume called "Vanilla Fields." My sister and mom loved themselves some Vanilla Fields. It was always Vanilla Fields and Aquanet. I haven't been able to really stand vanilla since. Bad thing is vanilla scent is everywhere. I like it as a flavor, otherwise not so much. It can be OK if it's subtle or a secondary scent note. Makes me gag just thinking about it.
Anyway, that's what's on my mind right now. World's burning and I'm obsessing over wax cubes and vanilla. Any other GenXers disconnected?

Just be careful with this stuff guys, some of it is extremely toxic, and for pets too.
If it's not natural wax, it releases VOC's, and most synthetic fragrances have pthalates.

So, hot tip when it comes to wax squares, wafers, etc.: you can used candles.
Chop up old candles you dont use, and it's the same thing and a zillion times cheaper.
I buy candles at garage sales for next to nothing and use them in warmers and it costs a couple of bucks instead of the crazy prices for those wax squares.
Uses up candles I no longer use too, which is a bonus.

I do that too! Ill chop up the last bits of my Yankee candles, or I'll but the "melts" and use a chunk of that instead.

About a decade ago, HEB had exclusive Texas scents. Bought one called Cowboy. I then went back and bought everyone they had. I have never smelled anything so good. People coming over always commented it smells so good. It was scentsy and exclusive to HEB. I haven't been able to find anything close. Contacted Scentsy, looked online, and no luck.

I prefer candles over the wax melts.

We’ve got Scentsy burners galore here at the house.

A friend got me hooked on Scentsy 7-8 years ago, it's a necessary indulgence for me. We have warmers in pretty much every room (not all going at once). My favorite scents are Coconut Lemon, Coco Lime, Amazon Rain, Luna, Cozy Cardigan and Banana Nut Bread. We have a lot of pets, I'm at home pretty much all the time and it's important to me that it smells good.

I'm your Debbie Downer. If you can't eat or drink a substance, you shouldn't be breathing it in. 😕🤷🏼♀️ And I think I read a study a few years back on how they are really bad for kiddos. VOCs is a big concern and even 100% natural ones can produce particulates small enough to pass into the blood stream.
Same goes for the ones in your car vents.
Don't come at me. I know people like them. It's just something to consider when buying and using them depending on who is in your house. And my data may be out of date.

After caring for my mother for over three years and having to deal with the odors of her incontinence, constant urinary tract infections, and stale smoke until she passed away, I refuse to smell bad odors in my house. I have a wax warmer in my bathroom, Febreez plug in oil warmers in every other room, and the old school air and fabric spray that is also on hand. Not to mention the two air purifiers I have running 24/7.

Yes! Love them.

My mom sent me a couple of wax burnersa large amount of wax melts. I use them daily at home and at the office. My house smells better, even with all my pets.
My previous (dead) boss refused to allow any scents in the office. He once got mad at me for cleaning something in my office, because the cleaner had a smell. New boss lets me burn candles, incense and wax melts. They make me feel more cheerful. Boss dying helped, too, but that's another story. 😏

I still use and love wax melts. My favorite is the coffee scented ones. Makes my house smell like my childhood home. My granddaughter and I love to swap out scents for holidays.

I still love, and use wax melts almost every day. I enjoy baked goods, anything with a warmer scent, laundry/soap, or fruits fragrances. I've been into using one called Canyon winds by BHG. Kinda of a warm fresh scent.....and kinda versatile year round. I stock up on a couple packs when I run out.

I like the woodsy scents but we got a cat and he’s got chronic sinusitis and they make him sneeze more and get stuffed up so we don’t use them much anymore.
Illustrious_Force_63@reddit
We use them because my son is on oxygen so no candles for us. My husband only likes what he calls the summer flavors... All fruity berries, citrus, tropical, etc. I also like the autumn and winter flavors but he gets to the wax first in the morning so he can choose.

And I agree... Vanilla as a scent is the worst!

I use to use them but they (and any other air freshener) have started causing me to have near migraine headaches.
