what a decent newer car?

We just found out our current car is having serious engines issues and more expensive than the car is even worth to fix. So we’re looking for something decent, newer, lower mileage. i’d rather have something that’s gonna last awhile and isn’t gonna have insane repair costs in a year. budget preferably $350/month and we both have good credit. any recommendations?

K24 Accord. Potentially look inward why you need a new engine on your current vehicle already in hopes you don't destroy an almost indestructible engine in the K24.

quoted $8800 to fix the car (completely, including a few other things. brakes are older too, belts are worn). or sell it for $2000.

Used car market varies regionally as much as people swear by Toyota the used market can be outrageous. I’d say shop around get a few options in mind and narrow it from there.

350 a month doesn't mean anything... That could be two year loan or a 7 year loan... So that could be a $7k car or an$27k car. Also your use case... What do you care about? Just a cheap economy car? You can walk into Kia or Hyundai dealer and get a brand new economy car with a 10 year warranty for $350 an month

IF you can plug in at home, then consider an EV. Most people drive less than 40 miles a day on average and a standard 120V. wall outlet can add over 50 miles of range during a 12 hour overnight charge. You can purchase a used 2022 to 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 with under 50K miles for less than $20,000. In our area, our cost per mile is 1/5th to 1/8th the cost of gas per mile. And, zero emmissions.

Toyota nationwide special for Camry 2026 to lease is $259 for 36 Months w/ $4,000 down. You can work with the dealer to take the monthly up to your budget to lower the down payment or keep it lower than your budget. You may not want to lease but negotiate the out the door price and you will get a good buy out price at the end of the lease to keep it or flip it. If you buy after the lease their regular warrant is usually 3-5 years, but with the hybrid system you will keep that for 10 years or 100,000 miles.
