My guess is that senior pilots will take redundancy and retire. This will lead to more opportunities for a recruitment drive. Cost of fuel is leading to higher ticket costs.

For those who haven’t read the headline, the figure actually shows growth for Europe and Asia but is distorted by the massive drop in demand in the Middle East specifically. If the Middle East were excluded, global demand would have increased by 1.2%

aviation hiring lags demand a bit so you usually feel it later both on the way down and on the way up crew and mx tend to be last to really recover too every cycle feels worse now though, finding decent jobs is just rough
