Watching Xena with your girlfriend 🍭

Just wondering how common it actually is to find a romantic partner (wlw dynamic) that actually wants to watch Xena with you ? If so, where/how did you meet?
I’m 33 and I’ve been in a few relationships in my time - while I’ve been compatible enough to commit - I have never, in my entire existence, found a girl who will watch Xena with me.
I started watching it when I was 16 and have tried to get every girl I’ve been with into Xena and not one has liked it.
Not one.
And I hate/refuse to force people to do anything. So I just give up.
Can anyone, any couples out there, give me hope that I can find that connection please? 😂
I’m single out of a long term relationship and as I’m heading to my mid thirties, my hopes of finding a romantic partner with that level of compatibility and mutual attraction are fading. Haaahha.

I am 42 and my wife is 43, we both just started watching Xena about a month ago and she's enjoying it more than I am, and I'm enjoying it a lot.
I had a buddy who was head over heels for a gal that didn't overlap his interests at all, and in the long run they didn't work out at all. I told him he needed to get a gal he could watch star wars with (which was one of his big things), and sure enough he eventually found that gal and they worked it super great. I'm not saying you need to share every interest with a partner, but a couple that can't enjoy anything together is basically married coworkers, and that's not fair to anyone. There's enough people with enough variety out there that there's definitively someone out there that you'll be able to Xena and chill with.

I was searching that person for a really long time, too long, and had some really painful experiences in my early twenties with women and then found women that I connected with in a lot of ways so I committed to them and was happy, but deep down the things I really love and connect to got ignored (I think because they are so particular - old music, as in going back to the 50s-90s primarily, old films, basically just really not of this time stuff and really alternative ways of thinking, mysteries of the universe kind of stuff) and then as I got older, I started reconnecting with who I really am and Xena and Gabrielle are a massive part of my identity, always have been and what I want in a loving committed relationship. I just kind of put that to the side because I felt like I would never find it, it is so rare 💎
I am going to the 2026 Xena con in NJ so who knows, maybe I’ll manifest my Gabrielle into my reality there 😂😂😂

I watch it with my girlfriend; we're both watching it for the first time. We don't live together, so we have a "pact" where we watch one episode a day and talk about it later. It's really good.

Yes! I met my partner when I was 31, she was 33. We bonded over similar childhoods, similar nostalgia from the early 90s— and that’s when Xena came up in conversation! My partner told me that she used to “play Xena” in the backyard with her friends, and my jaw dropped. I could not believe it. I thought I was the only person I knew who loved Xena!! Now we are 33 and 35, and we have been re-watching episodes of Xena lately. The sapphic subtext is LOUDDDD now that we’re old enough to understand it, and our love for the show has been reignited tenfold. Now we’re set to be Xena and Gabrielle for Halloween!! (I’m gonna be Gabrielle 🥰)

I have been searching for my Gabrielle forever. I’m also super particular about chemistry and wanting things to happen naturally. I’m one of those people who deep down believe in “the one true soulmate” and it’s a really tough road 😂
