Who do they make the revolvers for? I could have sworn I saw a YouTube review on revolvers for the Indian civilian market.

No way it could be India. Should be some Pakistani video

Looks like you are limited to revolvers in .22 or .32 caliber, and need a license to get it. But there is a small civilian firearms market.
its_brad_@reddit (OP)
Yeah it’s practically impossible to buy. License required for purchasing .22 & .32 for which one had to be crazy rich or in politics.

Well that sucks, time to make friends.

It’s also expensive too I’m Indian American so I’ve looked for into it and it’s like a years salary for a shitty revolver/pistol lmao

Mahatma Gandhi weeps. He specifically wrote the right to keep and bear arms into the original draft of the Karachi Resolution, but it was ultimately rejected.
Much like many other former British colonies, it seems India has adopted far too many of the racially-motivated laws that the Brits imposed upon it during the occupation as its own.

Pretty much the rest of the world has dropped the right to bear arms.
USA, Guatamala and Mexico are the only ones left.
Czechia I think added a right to keep and bear, but I think it's a statute and not in their constitution.

I believe it's possible - similar to much of europe it's on a "show need" - the main ones would be Sports/Target shooting shown by membership of a club, or for livestock protection.
Apparently it's also possible to get a firearm for a self-defense, but that's outside of my knowledge.
