Help me decide what to use

Hey guys I need help. I am extremely on budget. I am currently using ryzen 2200g with vega 8 graphics since 2020. Now after 6 years I finally have a disposable income of 400$. I have 16GB Ram and a gigabyte b450 with a 650w psu. I have two options The first is to buy 9060xt 16gb which is 410$ in my country and wait for the cpu upgrade next year or get a 9060xt 8gb variant at 300$ + Ryzen 5600 at 100$. My monitor is 1080p 144hz and won't be changing it anytime soon. Everyone says that "get 16GB for future proofing". what do you think I should do?
P.s. Used GPU market is terrible in my country

Ok, so a quick Google for 2200G YT videos came up with few that actually paired with a dGPU. Here's one:

What is showing is that the 2200G and the RX 580 2048SP (several generations preceding the 9060 XT 16GB) are both hitting 100% utilitzation. The 9060 XT will work with the 2200G but even with everything set to max on 1080p or 1440p, most likely the 9060 XT would still be underutilized. IF you can live with that for the time being until your CPU upgrade, go for the 9060 XT 16GB.

The CPU you can upgrade when you get some more money (and then sell your old CPU to recoup a couple bucks).. the GPU's VRAM can't be updated without buying a whole new GPU .. I'd get the 16gb 9060XT first.. But! ..if you want a big bump in both departments now .. then go for the CPU/GPU combo
With a new CPU.. you might need a new CPU cooler.. so keep that in mind
Check out the SPL's PSU Tier List to see how your current PSU rates.. make and model matters
Be sure to update your motherboard's BIOS to the latest version available
Be sure to install the latest AM4 chipset drivers from either AMD's website or your motherboard manufacturers support page whichever is newer

5600 + 8GB GPU will last you another 6 years, but a 16GB GPU alone will only last 3 or so years... so do you want to upgrade sooner than later? or a better question, can you afford to do another round of upgrade in 3 years?

As the comment above, see the benchmark for the games you play. Not sure whether 1080p resolution would benefit much from a 16G GPU

Look at benchmarks for the games you play.
Remember that the vast majority of PC gamers are on 8gb or less of VRAM. Game developers will still make games playable for an 8gb card.
