When you were bored as a kid, what was your go-to board game?

For me it was Mouse Trap. Sorry, a close second.
Subject-Butterfly-50@reddit
Sorry, not a board game, but the amount of hours my siblings and I played Clean and Dirty was ridiculous. 6 decks and no mercy

"You can be a winner at the game. of. Life!"
Big-Sheepherder-6134@reddit
I can tell young people I had many lives. In some I was even a lawyer or doctor. Up to four kids.
karatekate@reddit
Do you remember the ad from the earlier (60s?) version where the girl sadly announces "I got sent to the POOR HOUSE =( "?
The updates to the game are interesting
Big-Sheepherder-6134@reddit
Not really.

My go-to wasn’t a board game but rather LEGOs!
Affectionate-Map2583@reddit
Games I'd play against myself included Sorry and Yahtzee. Sorry was also a top choice when having someone else to play it with.
nakerusa@reddit
As a little kid, it was Sorry. As an older kid (and adult) it's Talisman (although there were a few years where Axis and Allies held sway).
Today? Nuclear War and Catan are the biggest hits.
yurinator71@reddit
Dark Tower
28smalls@reddit
Loved that game, but finding working batteries was always an issue.
yurinator71@reddit
Oh yeah! My dad had tons of rechargeable ones. I wish I still had that game! I guess it has become a holy grail item.
The Brigands are attacking!

Wait, to play by myself?
Um... I had this Honey Bee Tree game... that you could build a tree with. and it had plastic bees. It was really relaxing. It would calm me down after my drunken parents raged out at me and locked me in my room.
Even to this day, when I see bees, I just kinda feel calm.
