E-bikes that aren’t ugly or will kill bank account

Hello!
Title kinda says it all lol. I’m looking for a e-bike that looks normal (not some crazy motorcycle) and isn’t above like 2 grand. I live in the city but do have a few hills that are rough

Aventon level 3. I found mine on upway for like $1499 and found people on reddit who were offering discounts (bc they get cash back—idk the term for it) and was able to buy it for about $1200. Looks like a normal bike, ppl don’t even realize it’s an ebike. Smooth rides. Love everything about it except it’s a step over and I’m 5’2, so I gotta do a little hop to sit down.

Our Soltera2 bikes avoid some of the advanced features Aventon offers. I am glad it does as those fearures add complexity and more things to go wrong. Eapecially app related security features. Just a basic bike that I put 5000 miles on last year.

I can certainly understand why someone would want the more streamlined solterra. But last time i checked though i think the newest solterra had a weaker motor than the tempo AND did not have a removable battery. Both are things i want in a $1500 bike. Apple find my is also nice. Sensorswap, pulse mode, etc…i dont think these features complicate the bike that much.
And there were plenty of other head to head categories where the solterra just didn’t bother so the tempo won by default.

Something like that would also be my recommendation. My FX+ 2 is now 3.5 years old. I think the FX+ 2 has been phased out, but similar models are available.
Nothing fancy, for an e-bike rather light (18 kg), looks and rides like a normal bike.

Aventon Level 4 REC in Matte Black. There isn't a better looking e-bike in my opinion. It looks even better in person that the picture. The Level 3, which I have, looks almost exactly the same, with a few less features, and costs a little less, but they are getting harder to find at bike stores.

You are actually in a good range brands like Lectric and Aventon make pretty normal commuter e bikes that handle hills surprisingly well. I just look for something with at least a decent torque rating and mid or strong hub motor so those city hills don’t feel like torture.
