HDR finally becoming something more than SDR+
N7even@reddit
*On paper.
Let's see how it actually performs.
pc9000@reddit
Not like it gonna matter on these monitors . The hdr600 is basically for 1-10% window
Qdoled struggled at 25% and+ plus the ABL at 100%
It will be very slight improvement and I know thay cut hdr600 oled exists already for QDOLED

Too big. 24" would be perfect
MiloIsTheBest@reddit
Too small. 42" would be better.

I'm gonna write a stern letter to the Samsung CEO and let him know

I am behind the times and didn't know they had added 600 and 1000 tiers last year for OLEDs. Unfortunately their certified products page still doesn't distinguish between mobile, laptop, and desktop displays so it's rather useless for finding certified products.

I went from 4K 120Hz to a 240Hz monitor, but honestly I barely notice a difference. The mouse movement feels slightly smoother, but even in games it doesn’t feel that different. Feels like anything above 120Hz is kinda pointless, honestly.

Too much limits you from squeezing it out. For example the title I play the most my CPU (5800X3D) is throttling my 240hz 4K on 5090.
And that is okay. 180hz or thereabouts is all I will ever need and I was a *h*a*r*d*c*o*r*e* 120hz fan back in 2011 when they started rolling out.
Would def choose 6K 120hz over 4K 360hz personally, though, having one of each would not hurt, upgrading from 240 to 360 sounds insane but then again I'm not a competitive gamer.
jasmansky@reddit
As a 240Hz 4K Oled monitor owner, I would upgrade to this in a heartbeat. The 360Hz headroom would be perfect for MFG Preset B and DLSS 4.5 Performance Preset L on my 5090.

It's also just a weird fkn comment isn't it?
Roadside-Strelok@reddit
I usually only notice the flicker on those occasions when I don't really care about noticing it. There are also the obvious diminishing returns to higher refresh rates, 60 Hz -> 120 Hz was crazy noticeable, 120 Hz -> 240 Hz a lot less so.
mjed16@reddit
So can we get Ultra wide 360hz 4k then? Or even 240hz 4k? Or as they call it 5k2k. Coz rn it's only 165hz lol
Also can't we get miniled 5k2k uw? OLED is not very good for gaming as it has a physical inherented issue of flickering that can't be fixed. It will ræpe your eyes long term, miniled doesn't have that not burn-in and it has good enough contrast.
I think these companies spend their time into the wrong tech when an already superior (mostly) tech exist which is miniled.
Yeah, prepared to get the OLED fans to down vote my comments, because why not? I dated to criticise OLED, their God.

Even when not using VRR?

Crikey. A new 32-inch 4K panel already. Specs look fucking great.
Loose_Skill6641@reddit
native or with display compression?
Klemun@reddit
It's 110Gbp/s bandwidth at native in 10 bit mode, 88Gbp/s in 8 bit. DP 2.1b having 80Gbp/s maximum, it must involve some compression, at least I would assume so, unless there is some trickery at work to help with it.

Having just ordered the 34" ultrawide unveiled in January at CES 2026, at the end of May(admittedly, I'm from a small EU country, I had to order from France, though stocks were poor in the EU). Mass production in H2 for this panel, I would caution anyone expecting a short turnover. Though some features are from that existing UW panel, it might take less time this time around, I hope for anyone eager to get it.
