China Southern and Air China Triple Sevens are my personal favorites for that aircraft
Fluffy-Proof-5175@reddit
This will always be the best Air France livery in my opinion

F-GZCP 😪😥

I have nostalgia for the SWA Shamu livery:

Varig B727-100, simply looking stunning!
chrisluckhardt@reddit
Northwest bowling shoe livery on the 747 is my favourite.
ZappaLlamaGamma@reddit
Just needs a wash and wax and it’ll be good as new
JBerry_Mingjai@reddit
Much as I like the bowling shoe, think 747-451s in the final NWA livery were a thing of beauty.

I was never a fan of the "nwa" livery. Especially since every time I see "NWA" I think of Eazy-E.
chrisluckhardt@reddit
I might have to withdraw my entry after seeing the last livery again. It's a minimalists dream!

American Airlines (Bare metal livery) DC-10!
Redsoxdragon@reddit
All time great livery. Makes me sad that AA did away with the silver skin.
Background_External@reddit
You can't really keep the silver skin in the age of composites
ScooterMcTavish@reddit
CP Air used a lot of bare metal as well. Lovely bold livery:
ScienceMechEng_Lover@reddit
That tail-mounted engine makes it look fast to my eyes for some reason lol.
Justan0therthrow4way@reddit
Qantas wunala dreaming
BrewMonsieur@reddit
That’s the one.
Qantas A220 with Minyma Kutjara Tjukurpa livery goes pretty hard too
Seanwys@reddit
BA's tribute to this livery is also really good
They did one for its sister ship, the Nalanji Dreaming too
Apothaca@reddit
Revolutionary-Toe955@reddit
I think the BA Landor livery really suited the 747
rocbolt@reddit
I’m partial to the Saul Bass
ScooterMcTavish@reddit
One of my favourite liveries:
Zizzily@reddit
I really love the 747 in America West livery, but that route was never very active. https://www.airliners.net/photo/America-West-Airlines/Boeing-747-206B/399368/L
Seanwys@reddit
I think the 747 is so iconic that every variant has its own iconic livery
The -100 is easily Pan Am, -200 is probably Japan Airlines, -300 is Malaysia Airlines for me, -400 is British Airways, -8 is Lufthansa and the little SP is SOFIA
46656_@reddit
For me, the first thing that comes to mind for the 747SP is Iran Air and nothing else, probably because they were the last operators commercially
Seanwys@reddit
That's fair
I was thinking of either Iran Air, SOFIA, or the Las Vegas Sands for the SP
Revolutionary-Toe955@reddit
Really nice livery - like that on the DC-10 too
Seanwys@reddit
Landor is gorgeous, I'm so glad I managed to get a 1:200 scale model of it for my collection
DanialMASE@reddit
Old Malaysian DC10 Is such a favourite to me!
Seanwys@reddit
This red and white livery on the 747-300 is also really beautiful
JBerry_Mingjai@reddit
I always found something regal about a BA 757 in Landor get up.
Seanwys@reddit
Landor is just such a timeless and classy livery
Almost presidential or royal on the 747
concorde77@reddit
TWA and the L1011 were a match made in heaven
StereoWings7@reddit
PAN AM 747, no comparison.
Seanwys@reddit
What about TWA
Jorge-Esqueleto@reddit
BAe-146-100. Dan Air.
StarryRedFish@reddit
BA Concorde
Seanwys@reddit
Singapore Airlines is lowkey better
The most interesting part about this livery is that the other half is flying the British Airways Negus livery
46656_@reddit
What about Pepsi Concorde?
ScienceMechEng_Lover@reddit
I mean, this is the aviation equivalent of bringing a gun to a knife fight.
dead_toyou@reddit
not too many options lol

Icelandair 757-200

Come on, man. It's 2026, people have phones with 1440p resolution, PC screens with 4k or even 6k resolution. But you choose a 350 pixel image as your main image for the post. I'm disappointed.

roastbeefsammies@reddit
My dad worked on these engines. JT8Ds I believe.
roastbeefsammies@reddit
This unlocked a core memory. Delta used this from ATL to LAX in the early 90s. Such a magnificent jet.
actionerror@reddit
Flew that from Portland to Bangkok way back when. All I remember was it felt cramped inside.
Redsoxdragon@reddit
Only used for 1 route and they picked the perfect livery for it. I think of the ANA trio before i think of anyone else for the a380

Island Airlines out of Port Clinton, Ohio, the 1928 Ford Trimotor. First airplane I ever flew in to Put-in-Bay in Lake Erie. Said to be the shortest scheduled airline flight in the world.
My cousin and I, at around 12 years old, were especially impressed when we flew over a barn on the mainland just before the lakeshore which had F*UCK YOU shingled into the roof. I’m not sure what the beef was but I think we talked about that more than our actual first airplane experience.
