The 2007 Dodge Demon Roadster concept was a two-seater, rear-wheel-drive sports car designed by DaimlerChrysler to slot below the Dodge Viper.

Unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show, it was intended to be an affordable, lightweight "attainable dream car" to directly compete with the Mazda Miata MX-5, Pontiac Solstice, and Saturn Sky.
Unlike the modern supercharged drag strip machines bearing the "Demon" name, the original 2007 concept focused on handling and momentum rather than raw straight-line speed:
Engine: A 2.4-litre 4-cylinder World Engine producing 172 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque.
Transmission: 6-speed manual transmission.
Weight: A mere 2,600 lbs (1,179 kg) with a near 50/50 front-to-rear weight distribution.
Speed: Estimated 0–60 mph in 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph.
Pricing: Envisioned with a highly accessible target base price of $15,000.
Painted in a striking Bright Amber Pearl paint. It featured Dodge's signature crosshair grille, front-hinged clamshell hood, swept-back projector headlights, and functional rear fender vents for brake cooling.
Had large 19x8 inch brushed aluminum open-spoke wheels pushed right to the edges for a planted stance.
It was stripped of frivolous luxuries to emphasize driving feel, using durable carbon black mechanical grain vinyl instead of expensive leather.
It included high-end sports-watch inspired gauge clusters, brushed aluminum trim, and exposed carbon-fiber roll bars behind the bucket seats.
Unlike competitors with minimal trunk space, it was designed with a deep trunk capable of holding a full set of golf clubs.
The vehicle never transitioned from a concept car into mass assembly due to the timing of its release. Following its 2007 launch, the 2008 global financial crisis hit Chrysler severely.
The corporate restructuring, the company's sale to Cerberus Capital Management, and the ultimate lack of an existing, modular rear-wheel-drive platform killed its viability.
Dodge eventually revived the nameplate a decade later for the radically different, straight-line powerhouse 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.

I remember seeing it at an auto show, was actually a pretty cool car.
Kind of reminds me of the later Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky roadsters.

...to slot below the Dodge Viper.
WAY below.
This was designed to compete against the MX-5 Miata, Pontiac Solstace/Saturn Sky, etc.

I believe there was also the Razor and Slingshot
VIper > Razor > Demon Roadster > Slingshot
Could be some inbetween the Viper and Razor still like the Circuit EV

Like a 350z and an S2000 had a child

A child with a below average credit score.

But is overly strong and loud lol
appalachian51@reddit
So weak and rattly that even Dodge was ashamed to proceed with this insect
LootwigWantsCookies@reddit
How is that weak. 170hp in such a light cars is more than enough. Modern Miatas have the same hp and this would habe been a direct competitior.
appalachian51@reddit
I mean its small and electonics no good (dodge) and it'll fall apart under 35k miles (dodge)

Chrysler crossfire

Very reminiscent of the Audi TT. This would have been fun to see on the road.
