Calo UK closing down... what are people switching to?

Maybe dramatic, but the Calo closure has actually thrown me a bit...
I relied on it way more than I realised during busy weeks because I really can’t be bothered to cook after work most nights. Calo was one of the few meal delivery services I tried where the food actually tasted decent and didn’t feel ultra processed.
Now trying to work out what the closest alternative is in the UK. Ideally something healthy/high protein that still feels convenient and good quality.
Would appreciate any real recommendations from people who’ve actually tried a few of them. Thank you!

Been a Frive customer for a while, love their meals and the ingredients are actually good quality, with decent portions + protein grams when it comes to their meat and seafood dishes!

Prep Kitchen! I've tried them all over the years, and their meals are the best imo. Loads of options, tasty and doesn't feel like a diet at all

I tried Calo for a little while but ended up with Prep Kitchen. Loads of protein and much better flavour imo.

Was in the same boat when I got bored of Hello Fresh and wanted an alternative. Ended up trying Frive and honestly it's been really good. Similar vibe to what you're describing, proper food rather than sad ready meals, heats up in a few minutes and has loads of protein. I do long days at work too and it's genuinely helped, I particularly like to use the meals for lunch as I am always in between calls and meetings

Never heard of Calo but going by the context; deliveroo, just-eat or uber eats could be alternatives

Never heard of them.

In my 49 years of life, I have never heard of Calo

Plot twist this is a guerrllia marketing campaign for them to build hype with "oh no, can't believe it, it was so good!"
steveakacrush@reddit
I'd never heard of them either.

Ah that sucks. I liked Calo 🤦♂️

I genuinely had to Google who the fuck you were talking about. Today I learned something!
shanrees8@reddit
I use Frive which imo is better than Simmer. Both high protein

Blimey, only been here a year before closing and has taken down two other food delivery companies. Shame for all their customers.
