My first mutant! A 1950 ('51?) Ford Crestliner built from a '90s Thunderbird!

It still had the boring, bland grey '90s Ford product interior, though :/

I like it! Weird, but I like it anyway.

Thunderliner or Crestbird?

Is this peak Boomer? Do these conversions ever look good? Feel free to prove me wrong but I'm of the opinion that you simply cannot recreate the lines of a classic car on a donor car 40 years newer, and have it not look weird and lumpy and awkward.

Needs more upvotes. Agree completely. I think it’s just people with money to burn and no idea where to spend it but harebrained ideas.

I feel the same way.

The pillars, roofline, squared off rear - all hideously mismatched with the 1950s tinsel. Fugly af. Will-I-Am and WCC looking at it like: 😋🤤

Hopefully it has the supercharged V6 so it has some go and not just show.

This is so goofy I'd be ashamed to be seen getting out of it. I'd rather have a beater old 2003 malibu with plastic bumper flappin damage to drive anyday

49-50 51 had 2 “bullets” in the grille

Those Thunderbirds got turned into so many odd cars.
