Which supermarket has the best avocados?

I swear I haven't had a good one from Tesco in the last couple of months.

The skin looks good, bordering on overripe but when you open them up there is about 2mm of nice dark green inside then the rest is pale green, bitter and fibrous.

Are some supermarkets better than others or do I have to give up my millenial lunch and start saving for a house deposit..?!

Have you tried M&S? Theirs are expensive but worth it. I've never had a bad one from there.

You need to go to a grocers.

They buy fresh produce daily.

Supermarket’s produce is harvested too early and stored for too long before you buy it.

It’s worth the extra trip for some stuff.

I find they’re all fine if I’m patient. Buy early, use late.

Asdahas the worst fruit in my opinion closely followed by aldi. It all just seems to go off so quick from there. Dont know why people bashing sainsburys. I find their fruit selection far superior to their competitors.

I never have an issue with lidl but I do find that asda fruit and veg is a bit pants and goes off very fast.

M&S, Waitrose, and - weirdly - Lidl.

Sainsbury's and Tesco ones are so bad I don't even look at them any more.

M&S, same with most fruit and veg. The quality is just significantly higher.
