Hopefully, it wasn't a medical emergency and driver walked away. What happens next, is a life changer impacting finances and being a provider to his family or self.
JalocTheGreat@reddit
If you get tired catch yourself nodding off stop and take a nap. Log Safety break 392.3

How many of you had a stroke/ heart attack while driving??? Be kind, tomorrow you can be the news!
Blackdogtrucking@reddit
I’ve seen a lot of dumb ass people! Sadly a number of times it’s in the mirror. Try to be kind you never know when it’s going to be you.
P.S. Every friend group has a dumb ass. If yours doesn’t it may be you!
salad_knife@reddit
Dude… you ruined it
SashaDabinsky@reddit
I bet he was jarred awake real fast.
JohnProof@reddit
Man. Waking up already airborne and realizing instantly that you've fucked up as badly as you possibly can.
Mnemorath@reddit
Not anymore he ain’t.
IncredibleJim87@reddit
Probably startled him then went back to bed.

Obligatory "you cant park there" comment

The trailer shouldn’t have come off the fifth wheel. Did he rip off his frame?
homucifer666@reddit
Hard to see from this distance, but it kind of looks like the platform snapped off the frame. Still locked around the kingpin though, near as I can tell.
RadioTunnel@reddit
I mean there was enough force to rip the axles off so im assuming it probably did the same to the 5th wheel
IBringTheHeat2@reddit
Axles on the trailer are only held in by 4 metal nubs so it doesn’t take a lot to break off
NostradamusJones@reddit
I've been driving 25 years, and I have no idea what the answer is.
Empty-Whereas5117@reddit
Now he has enough time to sleep
dieseldoc62@reddit
bet he's awake now
D-Gemini@reddit
Somebody not getting their load
DelawhereRider@reddit
I’m pretty sure he dropped a “load”.
D-Gemini@reddit
A stiff one
Throwaway74729265@reddit
Thats crazy that trailer came off fifth wheel like that though holy shit
Mstrchf117@reddit
Does that count as a rollover?
DelawhereRider@reddit
Just a twist.
Riyeko@reddit
That kingpin left the chat long ago
homucifer666@reddit
This is what I imagine when I get sleepy, and the fear propels me to the nearest safe point of rest.

literally made my first 911 call the other day thanks to comments on this sub Re calling in especially dangerous drivers, a guy was going at least a foot out of his lane into adjacent drivers swerving to avoid him, 1-3x/minute for several minutes before I decided to make the call. So infuriating, I am OTR 24/7 and probably ~1x/mo or more i encounter something like this, not just someone who's tired and/or distracted but someone who is clearly barely able to keep their eyes open
NostradamusJones@reddit
" it was like that when I picked it up at the shipper." - driver probably
Spare-Good-5372@reddit
Best possible outcome
rjwilliams6802@reddit
He's awake now.
MikeBinfinity@reddit
At first I was thinking he could possibly save it if he can make it to that on ramp, but that thought quickly vanished when I noticed there was a ditch down there.
Vic_Gatsby@reddit
What company is that?
Virtchoo@reddit
That’s an expensive nap man, usually I take mine at rest areas.
randomlemon9192@reddit
This is more exhilarating. /s
SHOwSHOrTAge@reddit
Dispatcher: But can you still make the load appointment on time?
___GRUMPY___@reddit
He will have plenty of time to nap while being unemployed.
Loneranjah118@reddit
Probably was napping in the sleeper 🤷♂️
Psilologist@reddit
That sucks now he's going to have to readjust his tandems.
BonusHour8693@reddit
