I feel like it's worth the cost just for the sheer ridiculousness of having a red dot or scope on a single action revolver lol
cyclorphan@reddit
I came to basically say the same thing. One day, I am going to bite. I have fun with mine with stock sights but it would be a hoot to drop a scope on that bad boy.
Panthean@reddit
It's absolutely worth it.
If you look a few posts back on my profile you can see my magnificent Wrangler

Just since you were wondering, it was absolutely worth it https://www.reddit.com/r/WA_guns/s/V5eH2wE0xn
ACuteCryptid@reddit
That's ridiculous I love it
AscendantJustice@reddit
Your link is broken. It doesn't need the \ after WA. Dope pistol.

Optic mount for this is such a tricky product to sell. On one hand the product itself is good, but it feels strange putting $65 + optic cost on a gun that costs $100, especially with the gun being a single action 22lr revolver. Essentially it appeals to a group of people who are doing it for fun rather than practicality. But to drop the cost of the product and appeal to people using it more for practicality rather than that person buy a superior gun with a optic mount included would mean cutting the profit margin or even going negative to make the sale.
Stock is cool though i'd buy it in a heartbeat if I didn't have to do any paperwork or I owned that 16" barrel rough rider pistol so I could add the stock no problem.

Ya i totally agree. Its a niche market. I have my own cnc machine now so im working on reducing production costs but i think there's only so low i can go. This was a bigger hit before the tactical cowboy came out.
TheTaxStampCollectr@reddit
my barkeep sbr yurns for the optic mount
otiswrath@reddit
What in the hell...
Is that a belt fed revolver?
I am somehow furious, jealous, and aroused; please explain.
Orgeweight@reddit
What a terrible day to have eyes.
Godspeed, you wild and wonderful lunatic, you.
salem_lakes_armory@reddit (OP)
Thats actually awesome. I do have barkeep optics as well. They didnt really catch on so they are on discontinuance sale. Im breaking even on them at best, at worst inflation is sucking my wallet sitting on them

You're lucky America got rid of insane asylums
King_Spitfire@reddit
I wonder if it'd be possible to just make the rail and have it fit into the trench of the rough rider's sights and fixed in place via epoxy for ghetto riders like me haha
salem_lakes_armory@reddit (OP)
On the fiber optic one yes. On the base model i dont think so. I tried to see if i could make it clamp onto the frame but theres not much to grab onto.
King_Spitfire@reddit
Darn. Just a spitball idea but would it be possible to make a jig for drilling and tapping a rough rider at home? I don't know if it would work out for you business wise but it would be neat if you could sell that + the picatinny rail or optic plate and screws. Might save a decent amount of material + labor with no clamping portion needed.
salem_lakes_armory@reddit (OP)
Ya actually thats a good idea. You can just buy the tactical cowboy rail for 24 bucks, as long as the jig was less that the optic mount it would work out. Ill look into it and see what i can come up with.
King_Spitfire@reddit
🫡 looking forward to what you can come up with. With the cylinder being so easily removable and that portion under the sight trench being relatively flat except the casting flashes, seemed like a large enough workspace to put a jig on and clamp for drilling and tapping.
_jB_@reddit
Bought it a while ago, and mounted my RCR on it. Has been nothing but cock solid with that immense 22 recoil
Knotical_MK6@reddit
Definitely over here pretending this doesn't apply to my 400 dollar AR wearing 800 dollars worth of suppressor
King_Spitfire@reddit
Sheesh big bucks over here. Best I can do is $400 AR and $100-200 optic
ManOf1000Usernames@reddit
Well i dont think you will like when i put a $1500 thermal scope on my $100 rough rider to hunt rats with
King_Spitfire@reddit
Thanks ill have nightmares about it tonight

Also want to mention coming soon
M60 bipod adapters for AR platforms. For your colt 741/941 clones
And ruger wrangler stocks for sbr's since wrangler doesnt produce a 16 inch barrel model. Bolts up without modification
WoozyKinkajou@reddit
Wondering if M60 bipods would fit around a Colt IAR heatsink-handguard
salem_lakes_armory@reddit (OP)
Maybe with an 18 or 20 inch barrel. That handguard is a thick boi
MotherfuckingDoomGuy@reddit
Definitely interested in the wrangler stock. Is it just for the super wrangler or will it work for the regular wrangler as well?
salem_lakes_armory@reddit (OP)
Ill have to check but should work on both. They have the same grips. Heres a picture https://imgur.com/a/t2Kvt53
MotherfuckingDoomGuy@reddit
Sweet. That'll be fun. I was just wondering the other day if anyone made a stock for them.
salem_lakes_armory@reddit (OP)
I was totally in robot mode when i replied. Its MOTHERFUCKINGDOOMGUY! :D How ya been?
MotherfuckingDoomGuy@reddit
I have been good. How about you?
salem_lakes_armory@reddit (OP)
Ya same here, work has a new policy every week. Otherwise just really busy, its getting warm out and my weekends are filling up fast. I have to take my vacation and stay home just to get stuff done.
TC_19a@reddit
Cheaper to get the tactical cowboy model with pic rail already built in AND a threaded barrel (you can also use your iron sights under/thru the pic rail on the tactical cowboy model)
salem_lakes_armory@reddit (OP)
Ya this is if you already have another model
