This probably took thousands of hours and at least a hundred thousand dollars to make. And it isn't useful in any way. Its only purpose is to look cool, and it fails miserably at that to anyone with a modicum of sense or taste. Think of all the amazing things a skilled person could do with 100 grand and a year of skilled labor from a variety of professionals. We are collectively cooked. Humanity cannot come back from this. This is not the problem, but a symptom. We had a good run.

I think one of the main reasons for the project might have been to elicit reactions like this. Some people get off on the most peculiar things.
balzac2000@reddit
I don't think you are necessarily wrong, but the effort is the same. Tremendous human and monetary capital expended for essentially trolling. Plant trees, fix cars for pregnant single moms, do something worthwhile with all that time and money. Instead of creating an abomination like that just to piss people off.

I tend to agree, but when it comes right down to it, the same can be said for so many hobbies, and endeavors aimed at providing toys for rich people. Is this monstrous vehicle in the OP (which I actually kind of appreciate for it's sheer ugliness and stupidity) any worse than a 12 cylinder, 1000hp, million dollar "hypercar" custom-built for a few billionaires?
Or those $100k+ (?) custom made choppers that are for all intents and purposes unrideable for more than a few miles, that were all the rage for all those years?
Mostly just toys for people who have so much money they've started to run out of things to buy. They are gross examples of widespread disparity of wealth and resources, and I'd never get anything like that even if I could easily afford it, but since someone made it, and there are photos of it on the internet, I usually just try to separate the object from the circumstances that lead to its existence.

Though the atheistic is not my choice, the mechanical work is beautiful. Although not nearly as well done as the one that itâs âinspiredâ by⌠I hate looking at these vehicles and knowing they had to make trade offs for time, cost, design, durability, etc and thinking âbut this is what you ended up with?â. At no point did someone step back and ask âis this really what we wanted? Can we do something different without starting over? Can we make some small changes that make it better?â Maybe they did. Maybe thatâs what lead to the crazy long exhaust.
odin_the_wiggler@reddit
If you were wondering, yes, this vehicle has no redeeming qualities.
oyog@reddit
I almost want to see it on the road just because I don't even believe this runs.
steelabjur@reddit
I want to see it try to go over a speed bump!

At 60mph

Lacking in practicality? I bet it parallel parks like a glove with steering on all 6 wheels.
Armybob112@reddit
Then again it's rivaling the canyonero in size, you might be able to park it nicely, but you first need a spot it actually fits into.
icybowler3442@reddit
I mean, itâs still probably 25â long with abysmal rear visibility.
Castle_Bravo_Test@reddit
Poor Humvee. I bet he would rather have gone to war with his buddies.
Murky-Push-6760@reddit
Lots of questions but WTF is that front spoiler?? Why??
Select-Belt-ou812@reddit
that's no spoiler, I think it's supposed to be a cow-catcher https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cowcatcher
lifestepvan@reddit
The endplates say otherwise. But it definitely takes styling cues from one, yeah.
Grumpy1985_@reddit
Thats a scoop.
FocusMaster@reddit
Apparently even a slow, heavy brick needs help with downforce.

If the word kitsch was a vehicle
QuantumRenard@reddit
Is it the one from Danton, repainted / modified?
GrumpyOldGrognard@reddit
If Orange County Choppers designed a car, this would be it.
carn1vore@reddit
One Ed Hardy tshirt and a 55 gallon drum would have accomplished the creatorâs goal of looking like a douchebag and burning a lot of money in a single afternoon. InsteadâŚ

When I'm a billionaire I'm going to strictly wrap every car I own in Ed Hardy shirt designs so people see me coming.

Reminds me of James vanderbeaks character on Silicon Valley đ

Modified, you say?

I'm trying to imagine what type of career the previous owner had. My best guess is the owner of a strip club in undetermined city. Definitely not Baltimore or New York. Maybe the owner of a strip club in Nashville?
Perverse_psycology@reddit
Built by a resto shop in Texas called yesterday's custom paint and restoration. You can almost make out the name on the wing but the pictures are garbage quality. They have a bunch of videos of it on their social media.
It is a awful ripoff of the Danton Kustoms 6 wheel hummer that sold at Barret Jackson a few years back for like $700,000.
teh_wad@reddit
Lmao this is the worst
dubie2003@reddit
Is this the same one that Rollins and the other guy bought and flipped? That was green but this could just be painted.
There is an informational clip on YT explaining who the original design team was and the drama that ensued. Just remember, itâs presented as one sided so take it with a grain of salt.
Perverse_psycology@reddit
I don't think so. The tube chassis in the rear is wrong and the one Rollins flipped didn't have rear steering. This one looks way, way worse than the green one.

What a terrible day to have eyes.

... Useless
Phenomenal_Hoot@reddit
Well I mean it has its uses in money laundering which is what I suspect these abominations are made for.

Neat
topazchip@reddit
I hate this. There is, to my eye, no redeeming quality, nothing about it that is not an obnoxious waste of resources. This hastens the entropic demise of the universe.
Mace2-0@reddit
The word "fugly" is an understatement.
