Worth spending $170 for a 5070 ti instead of a 9070 xt?

Seeing lots of mixed answers online and wanted to ask here directly. They should have similar performance but the real-world benchmarks show 5070 ti is objectively superior. The rest comes down to features and updates, I know NVIDIA is superior but don’t know how to quantify it.

5070 Ti 100%
It may not be a lot better, but after you get that XT and you realize you spent all that cash you’re gonna think to yourself “fml.. I should’ve just spent the extra cash and gotten the Ti”
Not because it’s a bad card, but cause you’ll know that you could’ve had a better card.

Gaming and watching shows only? Go for AMD.
Any other task, AMD kinda sucks.

hwunboxed just tested those two gpus in 52 games at high and ultra settings. when averaged over all the games they are effectively identical performance. some games swing to one card or the other by up to 15% or so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBNwDg9WkT8

It depends, the nvidia gpu’s have frame generation of some sort while amd does not
kaje@reddit
AMD has frame gen as part of FSR.

Ts so grainy and on top of that their driver support is trash , anyone downvoting works a part time job 🤣😩

Oh fr? Sorry didn’t know

This is false…

If you're only gaming, go 9070 XT considering that price difference.
If you're doing some productivity stuff, too (that would benefit from CUDA), go for the 5070 Ti.

Unless you have to have rt (and at that performance tier i wouldn't reccomend it) them it is mot worth the price increase at all and even then id say its not worth it,
They have similar rasterisation performance (some games one win other games the other wins).
I have a 5800x 32gb ddr4 3600mts and a 9070xt and my choices were 9070xt for £579 or the cheapest 5070ti for £800 i made the right choice,
The 9070xt is great for 4k above 60fps with a few newer games requiring FSR4 quality and anything a bit older/less intensive/esport games easily have 200fps+ at 4k.
This generation the nvidia/RT tax is way too much last gen they had 10%+ rasterisation performance 30%+ RT performance tier for tier so was worth the premium now they have almost identical rasterisation performance and 15% RT performance.
If you have $1200+ to spend you must have RT and must have top end performance 5080/5090 is your only real choice.
If money is a factor at all/you want to spend under $1000/you care about performance per dollar/you dont really care about RT then amd is the clear winner this generation.

For gaming: 9070 XT (nearly the same performance, lower price)
For productivity (3D rendering etc): 5070 Ti (much better performance)
Merrick222@reddit
Not worth it IMO.
Brutal007@reddit
Yes I have to run a -500 clock speed tuning to avoid driver timeouts and even still get one every now and then on my 9070xt
vtGaem@reddit
Wtf are you on about, RMA that thing right now.
jbshell@reddit
If need the CUDA cores, then RTX for sure.
Time-Waster-007@reddit
Price to performance, and what are you doing with your pc
aragorn18@reddit
For what purpose? The 5070 Ti is slightly faster in gaming, but generally not worth the significant extra cost. However, if you're doing any sort of productivity that benefits from CUDA, then the Nvidia card is probably the way to go.
