Pc changes and "future-proofing"

I build a mid tier system (my standards)
•no strict budget as I flipped parts
•mobo is an aorus x870 stealth a btf board
•cpu is Ryzen 7 7800x3d
•32gb kit of Adata XPG Lancer Blade running at 6000mhz
•gpu is a xfx 7900 xt
•cooler is a aio thermalright 360 liquidfreez 3
•case is Corsair 5400 air
I was wondering if there is going to be any reasonable uplift if I go for a Ryzen 7 9800x3d as I can get a tray chip for 300 bucks from a known good batch and flip my CPU for 150?

It’s a 10% uplift on avg. cpu intensive games where it matters, the 7800x3d is already giving very good performance where you won’t notice a 10% change.
If a 10% change is worth the hassle of installing a new cpu, having to sell your old one and $150, that’s up to you.

For reference I get 400+ fps in gf6 and I'm wondering if I can get more performance in the future with better GPU and CPU so a 10% isn't worth it

Wait let me go check with AMD to see how much uplift the next gen will provide

I went from an i5 13600KF to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D which some may say was unnecessary but it was more for me than a needed upgrade. I had to also upgrade the MOBO since the change from intel to Ryzen so I just built a whole new system with all new parts.

it'd be a reasonable uplift going 9070XT if you want to AMD, imho. Unless you really, really need those 20gb VRAM over 16gb.
7800x3d is more than enough, can upgrade to last gen CPU on AM5 later, those are looking quite good according to rumors, so far.

I want to upgrade with a next gen xx90 series when it comes out and if it's reasonable price

Just get the cheap 7800x3d. There's only a handful of games where you'll notice a difference at 1440p

I'm currently with the 7800x3d and wondering if I should upgrade just because

upgrading the CPU would not improve FPS in any meaningful way, you're going to want to upgrade your GPU first.
