Landing gear is flipped.. anyone have an idea?

You know the deal. Slide your tandems BEFORE backing down into the ramp.
My landing gear scraped, and flipped the foot. I have no sledge hammer. No pry bar. I've tried dragging it along the ground.
Anyone have an idea?

Clearly that's a breakdown line phone call
gear_jammin_deer@reddit
Careful with that, they'll send someone out to cut the whole leg off! (Based on a true story..)

Hit it with your purse.

Who you think fucked it up?
blbrewer1@reddit
If you crank it all the way down then roll foward a tiny bit it should knock it loose
Distinct-Event-7472@reddit
Hit it with your hip and snap your fingers in a z formation and you should be good to go
v-scope@reddit
Hammer time!
HowlingWolven@reddit
Step on the feet.
chechu951@reddit
Take off your flip flops put on your steel toe boots and give it a couple good kicks
Fair-Recognition8245@reddit
Kick it with the heel of your flip flops
Personal_Chicken_598@reddit
Boot it
psychedelicdonky@reddit
Anything can be a dildo if you're brave enough. I meant hammer!
Riyeko@reddit
Drop the gear and kick it. Or use a hammer if you don't wanna stub yer toe.
Wide-Engineering-396@reddit
Look either hit it with a beater or lower it and pull forward
olenamerikkalainen@reddit
Whack with fire extinguisher?
dstrezzd@reddit
He probably prefers his pressurized metal containers in an unexploded state
olenamerikkalainen@reddit
That's a problem for future him.
Critical_Opening_526@reddit (OP)
I like how you think.
gdjeep286@reddit
what a way to extinguish your future... really gotta suppress those intrusive thoughts, y'know? just take a few minutes to snuff it all out and think the plan through.
Critical_Opening_526@reddit (OP)
If it wasn't made to hit things, it wouldn't be made out of metal.
dstrezzd@reddit
'nuff said.
TDOTBRO@reddit
The future ain't guaranteed. Especially if you do the extinguisher idea.

Ugh. See the bar the foot is attached to? Take the bolt out. Slid the bar back and tip the foot back straight. Really easy to fix
Critical_Opening_526@reddit (OP)
Yeah I don't have the right set of wrenches.
I'll be stopping at the nearest O'Reilly
25_Unknown_Devices@reddit
Most truck stops will also have a hand full of tools that will work. Personally, a socket and wrench set should be mandatory equipment for any rig Same with an air hose that can connect to a glad hand for airing low tires.
Critical_Opening_526@reddit (OP)
Look buddy, I get paid to hold the steering wheel and look pretty on the dash cam. I don't get paid to do work.
On a serious note, would a speedco let me use their tools? I find it hard to offer to pay for something simple. I'll buy a set of wrenches if I find an auto parts store.
25_Unknown_Devices@reddit
That feels like it’s going to vary from Speedco to Speedco and mechanic to mechanic.
I wouldn’t have a problem loaning the tools.
This issue you have is not critical. That foot won’t cause any issues until you’re ready to drop the trailer. Empty and on gravel will be fine, loaded on pavement could cause damage to the ground.
So you don’t need to fix it right this minute. Maybe hop on the radio and ask if any old heads would help you out when you get stopped for your 10hr
Critical_Opening_526@reddit (OP)
I'm at my shipper now for a live load, and dropping the trailer same day 350 miles away. Otherwise I wouldn't give a fuck and it could stay this way all week.
25_Unknown_Devices@reddit
It’s a giant roll pin. It’s got a bolt on each side, the foot fits inside of the 2 bolts. If you take one side loose, you can shove the bar back, fix the foot right, reset the bar and put the bolt back in
Own_Opportunity8699@reddit
Spit on it, lube it up
Critical_Opening_526@reddit (OP)
Makes sense, I've already tried sand.
Own_Opportunity8699@reddit
Put it on the nuts and push
nothingspecifical1@reddit
Drop the landing gear *just* above the ground, uncouple then drive out. Maybe its own weight will bring it back?
Critical_Opening_526@reddit (OP)
Yeah I was heavy when it knocked like that.
Hit a pothole going backwards on the down slope. I figured it would hit going out, but without the weight it didnt.
25_Unknown_Devices@reddit
The reason it’s a bad idea is it will absolutely tear up the concrete under it if you put too much weight down.
Leto_ll@reddit
Crank it to the ground then roll forward a tad. Should budge it loose
