Insurance companies?

Just bought a bike, spent about $1500. I’m just not familiar with e-bike insurance.
Main question: are there companies that so this very well, any that do a terrible job and I should avoid?
My first thought is to just go through progressive, since I have car insurance it should be easy enough to add bike insurance. But if they suck I would like to know.
Other questions if you can help:
How much are your premiums, co pays, and what is covered? Ever filed a claim, how did it go?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I insured my ebikes with Progressive. Total for both bikes is $95/year. It's a standard motorcycle insurance policy with accident, theft, and uninsured motorist coverage. The bikes are high end units, so I don't know if that mattered to the premium, also, they are in Illinois. Good luck.

God I hope this never becomes mandatory.

I wouldn't get insurance, it's going to cost you a lot in the long run. Just don't lock the bike in the street ever, except for a very short time, e.g. pop into a shop and then with a very high quality lock and take the battery with you. Then always locked at home or in a locked compounds with gates and high quality lock.
My 2c.

I'd be cautious here. A small claim for your bike could end up costing you a lot more in higher insurance premiums, or cancellation, in the future.

I went with Velosurance. $400 for a year, bike fully covered, added a liability and medical policy.

Deductible is $200. Covers accidents, broken parts, ruined bike gear, and theft. $50k liability and $10k medical. I was hit by a car 20 months ago and wanted to better protect myself if shit hits the fan again.

There’s more eyes in the world. Reason? Third world countries and developing world motorbikes and scooters. Thailand is the world leader in prosthetic legs for a reason

What the fuck are you trying to say ?

This is the one I use- haven’t had a reason to file a claim yet, but any time I’ve had a question they have been responsive.
