Hi! Adult here, does anyone have information on getting properly tested for Auditory Processing Disorder in adults but on a tight budget?
Thanks for any helpful information in advance!

UTSW does, I think, and Callier.

The Callier front desk told me no this morning. Unless the particular person didn’t understand my request. They had me waiting on the phone for while too, reaffirming the disorder name and patient age. I shall return to them again 😅

honestly check local university speech/hearing clinics first. utd and unt sometimes have lower cost testing options because grad students do evaluations supervised by licensed specialists

One that I called this morning said they can’t do that, in a question mark tone. It was confusing. I’m guessing this will be rather challenging to find and I’ve only just began.

check with community health centers around dallas - they sometimes have sliding scale fees for testing and might know specialists who work with adults
