Looks like something where you want very low ground pressure. I know there are farming applications. Usually you would use narrow tires and just say "we're only gonna fuck up this narrow patch of ground" but sometimes you can't do that so the next option is "make the tires as big as possible to spread out the weight, that way whatever ground we do go over is only mildly inconvenienced".

They're used as flotation tires on spray buggies in very wet climates. Prime example: farming the willamette valley.

There’s a guy I watch on YouTube who was fixing a big piece of farm equipment. I want to say it was a fertilizer spreader or something like that and it had really similar looking tires on it.

Maybe those big quarry/mining equipment but those are more blocky and less contoured. I could also see large airplanes using them for their landing gear
