Its that time of year, if you go off the paved paths at Oak Point they are all over the trail in late spring/early summer. They blend in so well you can't see them laying across the path, especially near the creek.

I literally jumped over one that was on the unpaved trails in Breckenridge park. Was running and only spotted him at the last second. Got my heart rate up that’s for sure

I think I saw a baby snake on the trail leading to oak point. Don’t know if it was a cotton mouth

I had to push one off the trail with a stick at Katie Jackson the other day. My dog was like 2 feet away in front of me before I saw it. Well it was more like a fling. I flung that snake like 10 feet into the woods.

No thank you.

They're everywhere. I was working in my yard yesterday. Pickup up a rock. There was one less than an inch from my (gloved) hand. My wife also encountered another one in a separate incident yesterday.
They can scare you. Yet neither of these struck at us. If you don't mess with them, they shouldn't mess with you.

Just saw one at Breckenridge Park in Richardson as well (and a coyote with mange nearby).
