Corolla or Civic. CRV if you need more space
Manderthal13@reddit
A small regular cab pickup. No room for many passengers, good visibility and a 6 foot, unoccupied crumple zone for the bed. Also, generally speaking, most body panels are replaceable on pickups.

Mini Cooper

Mazda 3
Economical, decent power, and great to get a feel of driving pleasure vs a soulless Corolla
Ronin_KBG@reddit
Honda Civic

I’m gonna take your girl to see Iron Maiden without you
IWuzRunnin@reddit
You better smoke Winstons to be able to pull something from an iroc guy.

Best situation is a hand me down from your folks if that's a possibility. Free is the best price. My kids are getting my F150

Model 3 , less maintenance than a Corolla or Civic. And safer
Losbelunchin@reddit
The one you can afford to buy, fix, insure, and maintain without worrying about affording another when you crash it.
vicvega21@reddit
Small engine car, no new driver needs a fast car to begin with. My 1st car was a ford escort and I loved it 1.4L 👌🏽😂 £0.58p a Ltr.

Dodge Viper

Something that is ok if you get into small fender benders

Civic or corolla are my main recommendations. Lower cost, fuel-efficient, reliable, etc.

camry

Hellcat with a manual. You’ll get it.
Longjumping-Log1591@reddit
One with a steering wheel that doesn't fly off
Zestyclose_Paint3922@reddit
Fiat 500, without a doubt.
KiraDog0828@reddit
An underpowered car with manual transmission will get you familiar with clutching fast.
Trypt2k@reddit
Something like a Camaro, Mustang, maybe a 3 series BMW, perfect for teens. 10 years old or so. You'll learn a good lesson but also enjoy driving and have fun while learning it.
Known_Outcome_6445@reddit
Had a 09 mustang gt as my first
Better-Credit6701@reddit
Yeah, because wrapping around a telephone poll with a new driver in a car that they don't know how to control could be fun and profitable. For body shops
Trypt2k@reddit
And a learning experience, as I said!
Sudden_Hovercraft_56@reddit
Generally one with wheels is recommended.
floof29@reddit
And a functional motor.
Readditlovesbans@reddit
Also Functional brakes
MammothPresence3231@reddit
The one you like.
Top-Work-4425@reddit
The cheapest running car I can find. I don't mean to sound like a negative Nancy, but odds are you'll crash your first one.
Icy_Comparison_1029@reddit
Something slow and reliable
aringa@reddit
Toyota Corolla.
