Please help me build a gaming pc on pcspecialist.co.uk - complete noob!

I am a complete noob, having only had a gaming laptop before (Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Gaming Laptop AMD Ryzen 5 8GB 512GB). It has now become pretty much unusable and will barely play any games, and I decided it's time to get a proper gaming computer so I can play more!
Ideally I don't want to spend too much, £700-£1000 was the budget I had in mind, though I don't even know how possible it is. However PCSpecialist.co.uk allows for finance options which means I could possibly push the budget a couple of hundred a bit higher!
I know it's cheaper to build it myself, but I don't have the time or any knowledge at all and would rather just pay a bit more to have it built for me, plus it allows me the option of paying for it on finance too.
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated as I'm a complete noob and have no idea what I need! Thank you

If you need to finance it, you can't afford it. Save up more money and think about a new pc later.

Wi-fi unless you are using it in the same room as your router, long lan cables can be a mess and a trip hazard.. unless you can affix it so it's higher up
