143hr work week local ag work in central California

I can't imagine $21 per hour in California. I've had weekly gross checks that are the same as that and I don't have any state income taxes.
Maximum-Fun1774@reddit (OP)
It’s not too bad since I live in the rural area so the income needed to live is pretty low

Trash hourly. You could go pitch trash and has less liability for more money.
Maximum-Fun1774@reddit (OP)
I actually tried to but my local company wasn’t hiring
wetstorm95@reddit
Keep checking. I would never drive for 21/hr at this point in my career and the current economy. You also need to look at jobs around. Maybe you’re just in a terrible location where 21 is decent 🤷🏼♀️
Maximum-Fun1774@reddit (OP)
Yeah It was here at 21/hr or ryder at 25/hr doing class b manual unloading, I ultimately want to end up hauling fuel.

143 hours for two weeks is busy but not unheard of. If you were OTR you'd be doing that.
You're going to be hard pressed to find a trucking job that doesn't work you trucking hours. Very few will work you Banker's hours.
The pay per hour maybe be better elsewhere.
Try getting some endorsements.
Maximum-Fun1774@reddit (OP)
Yeah I have all my endorsements simply took this job because I was otr and wanted to get into local work and gain tanker experience
mike15835@reddit
Keep it up then friend. Trucking is very much a you want a raise find a new job industry.

Yeah it’s definitely a step up I was doing flat bed for a company out of Spokane wa earning barely a thousand a week for a month on the road so this is a step up
Radiant_Swan187@reddit
Dang. Hardest working man in the country at 143hrs a week
Maximum-Fun1774@reddit (OP)
Biweekly 😅
TwoTrucksPayingTaxes@reddit
I was feeling pretty good about your paycheck until I saw the hours worked. Get a better job dear God you're being exploited
Maximum-Fun1774@reddit (OP)
I was otr and wanted to be local I guess at least I got my foot in the door for tanker stuff
TwoTrucksPayingTaxes@reddit
Yep, take that experience and see what you can do with it! I just can't imagine working that many hours for under 100k
Maximum-Fun1774@reddit (OP)
Yeah that’s what I plan on doing getting all my experience for milk hauling since they help you get experience and move on elsewhere
Ok_Veterinarian5028@reddit
