How old are you, but generally, I wouldn't care. All of my close friend group were all put in the same class on the first day of high school and were too weird and anxious to make friends with anyone else, so we just stuck together.

If one of our friends said that in a group setting they would most likely be made fun of. We all know we are weird, we all know we are friends.

Sounds like your friend has the problem, not you! He wants to make you a square peg for a square hole, but there are so many more shapes to choose from. Friends (sadly) can come and go, but you will be with yourself forever. Be the person you want to be, as weird or alien or different as you like, because your happiness depends on what you think of you, not a friend.

Not everyone is the same. Just because you do or say things others may not, that doesn’t make you weird or “Alien”. Just accept who you are and if other people don’t like it, it’s there issue, not yours.
