Do you enjoy coming in at midnight or do you have no other choice? What are some challenges you face at this schedule?

I work 7-7 at nights because it typically provides more family time.
I go to work when the kids go to bed, home to take them to school, sleep until they get home around 3pm up with them until after dinner, and off to work.
Then I have the full weekends off. If i worked 7am-7pm id have less time with them

Still rough schedule but solid family time for sure.

Linehaul driver night. I don’t like it but it is how it is

My state has triple trailers and it’s definitely better and safer at night but the first 2 months getting used to working nights is by far the hardest. Taking a 20 min naps are lifesaver

I did 12:00 start LTL since I was low in seniority we had a couple customers prefer midnight delivery and pickup but it honestly sucked because i would likely be working the dock or hostling until 8:30-10:00am then sleep till 9pm. My wife worked 7-4:30 so we will be like passing each other before bed. So glad I only had to do it for 5-6 months. Rarely there was some Linehual runs I could pickup but 75% of it was dock work or working the yard.

Local, I start work anywhere between midnight and 3am. Usually off before 10am. Waking up so early sucks but it's so much better traffic wise vs having to work in the afternoon and dealing with traffic.
