New driver conflict

New OTR driver and I need some advice. I work for a third-party vendor. This truck is a 2015 Volvo, and the low system air pressure alert keeps going on and off while I’m driving. I told the owner, and he says it may be an issue with the dashboard, but I don’t believe that’s the case. I still have 9 hours of drive time left and a route tomorrow. I don’t want to get a ticket or cause an accident. Is this a violation? I don’t have any points on my license.

Uh… hey bud. Even if your manager is right. And you aren’t leaking air, and the dash is just wrong. That’s still a violation. Get it fixed.

Yup, and not just a violation. Inop air pressure gauge is an out of service.

I had the same issue. It is a loose connection at the back of your dashboard. You can use your hand to reach behind the dashboard through the air vent that is on the left side. Then, if you press on the connections to tighten them, you will notice that the red light goes away. In short, just open up the dashboard and make sure the connections are tight at the back.

I really really hope this is a shit post. Air pressure issue. Charging system issue. Playing with your phone while driving. Get your head out of your ass.
