If Ferrari Luce was rebranded under different manufacturer would you think people would like it?

Definitely. It's an okay looking car, just not a Ferrari looking car.
For all the badgering Ferrari does about it's visual brand, imo they really jumped the shark on this one.
oracleofnonsense@reddit
Full on CyberTrucked it.
mokitaco@reddit
Idk if I’d go that far
moresmarterthanyou@reddit
Low key they surpassed it lol
_A_Dumb_Person_@reddit
They simply don't want to be associated with EVs
Primary_Channel5427@reddit
Yes
AmazingAndy@reddit
Looks like a Toyota hybrid
captstinkybutt@reddit
It looks like a 40k Honda
skypunchingcow@reddit
That’s a Honda e vibes
FlyBirdieBirdBird@reddit
Yes. Its decent looking. Just not a Ferrari.
ReadingGhoul@reddit
People can be blacklisted from ferrari for modifying their own cars because it “stains” the brand, and they go and poop this turd. Holy irony.
theamericaninfrance@reddit
Yes! I’ve been saying that all day. It would look pretty good for a $40-60k car. Not $640,000 lol
eror11@reddit
Yeah, I would seriously consider it for 7% of the price
gecko2704@reddit
Comparing with chinese EVs and their performance, no EV cars should cost more than 100k
IAmBecomeTeemo@reddit
There's more to a luxury vehicle than the powertrain. Replace the engine and transmission in a Phantom with an electric motor and battery and you get a Spectre, not a BYD. Ferrari is not Rolls; a lot of the sticker price of a Ferrari is in fact the engine (and the badge). But Ferrari should be able to build an experience to justify spending well over 100k for an electric. 650k? Nah, that's ridiculous. But if this thing were as pretty and special-looking as Ferraris typically are, the outrage over the price would be far less.
acog@reddit
There’s always a small but significant market for ultra premium cars. The finest materials, insane audio, and the ability to show off to your fellow hedge fund managers at the country club.
I think it’d be an interesting option for that crowd at $300K. The Urus accounts for 60% of Lamborghini sales and it’s in that price bracket. Rolls Royce’s lineup starts at that price bracket, Bentley’s start a little cheaper.
But I wonder goes many of them will balk at $650K.
Talkimas@reddit
I'm sorry that you looking thing is $640,000?! It looks like a nice $30,000 car. Fun to my head if you asked me if the MSRP was over/under $45k I would have lost every time. What a fucking embarrassment of a vehicle
Embarrassed_Blood247@reddit
Ferrari died when Enzo died. Still wish i was holding on to when I graduated college that my wife bought me. My 308 gts. Im looking for another right now, wish I hadn't traded it for the Vette. Now that im going to law school, I want it back.
DanGleeballs@reddit
A 308 gts to a Corvette is quite a decision.
TheB1ackAdderr@reddit
I wouldn't go that far. Montezemolo brought new life into Ferrari. Since he retired is a different story.
Alphawolfdog@reddit
$640,000 is absolutely nuts
Tomcfitz@reddit
Yeah? I mean its a decent looking prius kinda car.
Call it a kia or even a rivian, and sure.
Verified_Peryak@reddit
That woukd be a great prius indeed
MrRogersAE@reddit
Fuck off, my Kia has 10x more sex appeal than whatever that is.
Tomcfitz@reddit
Lol no it doesnt.
Maybe if its a Stinger, those are decently good looking.
This isnt a bad looking car, its just bad looking for a ferrari. Or, at least, it doesnt have any ferrari design language.
It looks like the new prius, which is a reasonably good looking car.
MrRogersAE@reddit
I disagree, it’s a bad looking car, exceptionally so for a Ferrari. While I agree it would be more suited with a Prius nameplate, the Prius isn’t a sexy car either
Soft_Midnight8221@reddit
For 650k?
FLOHTX@reddit
This is the first time I've seen the price. Thats astonishingly high, I was thinking maybe $150K because Ferrari. Absolutely not worth that.
doc_55lk@reddit
The absolute cheapest Ferrari you can buy brand new is still a 200k+ car. There's no way this would've been less than that.
FLOHTX@reddit
Suppose you're right. I was thinking it would be in line with a Taycan, maybe a little more. Taycans start at like $120K.
doc_55lk@reddit
Ferrari are too uptight to have a sub 200k car
Tomcfitz@reddit
No, lol, obviously.
FleshlightModel@reddit
This truly looks like a Kia to me.
SEQbloke@reddit
Idk, even Kia and Rivian are better than this.
Tomcfitz@reddit
Honestly this hits a lot of the rivian design language, IMO.
Kinda soft lines but flattish panels without extra creasing. If you put their headlights on the thing...
It looks to me like a current-gen prius combined with a Rivian
PM_Me_Varbies@reddit
You mean like this?
Honestly, I don’t hate it
Tomcfitz@reddit
HAH! Exactly. And it doesnt look bad like that.
m00t_vdb@reddit
It’s a cool Kia
Verified_Peryak@reddit
Would pake a wonderful honda 😉
Frequent_Purpose_406@reddit
Please get me 20 skodas ev
cu4tro@reddit
yes, but only if it was 1/10 the price and $60k not $600k
WSWMUC@reddit
There is a Nissan looking pretty similar - the Luce might perfectly match that lineup. The premium interior is definitely a plus, also for Nissan. Only the price might be an issue.
OppStoppa327@reddit
Not for $600k. If it was a sub $100k from any manufacturer it would be well received
Westcacique@reddit
If it was $80k-$100k and made by Apple it would have broken the internet
EisweinEisbein@reddit
Even than, it has horrible range for what it is.
530km of range with 118kwh battery, an Mercedes EQS SUV with the same battery size has 693km of range. The Ferrari is a brick.
Tje199@reddit
That's pretty crazy, my Ioniq is rated for 274km with 38kwh battery, and routinely cracks 300 km range in the summer.
Then again, this car is 1000+ HP and mine is...not.
EnthusiastDriver500@reddit
Nissan Leaf?
austic@reddit
Ya. For sub 100k and a Honda/kia/rivain it sells.
At 650k ya not a fucking chance.
PheonixOnTheRise@reddit
Asked another way, if this product had a different meaning and purpose, would it be looked at favorably? Quite possibly.
If Jaguar didn’t throw away its entire history and brand while introducing its new EV to a backdrop of sexually androgynous dancers, would their EV be more accepted? Again, quite possibly.
Meaning and purpose are fairly significant to human beings.
Gramerdim@reddit
apple and sony called,
they want their car back
No-Wave4500@reddit
now , you are new AMG GT !
Informal-Extreme6699@reddit
Talvez se fosse um Fiat ou um Volkswagen custando 100k, mas esse carro é ridículo uma Ferrari elétrica com cara de popular chinês kkkkkkkkk
11hammer@reddit
Looks like it’d fit in the Ioniq line.
thaneliness@reddit
Yes.
Its a joke of the Ferrari brand lol
thedrunkpenguin@reddit
Wait Kia didn't design this?!
Looseraccoons@reddit
No. But it would be more believable if it was rolled out as another anonymous Tesla model
ChristineBardownski@reddit
Probably.
It looks okay as cars go, but nobody wants to buy a Ferrari because they think it’s “okay.” It’s just kind of generic, which is the absolute last thing a Ferrari should be.
Herbie2189@reddit
Honestly I’d be fine with it as a Ferrari if it were $200,000. But at 650k, go get fucked
asamson23@reddit
If it was branded something else entirely, I would just not think of it much
balthaharis@reddit
A rivian or lucid with some changes to the rear ende would suit this whole car much much better
WhipTheLlama@reddit
I like it as a Prelude competitor.
w00stersauce@reddit
LOL honestly just LOL. But I have no doubt some rich idiot will be driving one around here within 1 day of it being on sale just because it’s the first from Ferrari.
ferraricare@reddit
Don't worry, only the Internet is upset. The people that can afford them will snap them up. And in a few years, we'll see articles about how ground breaking it was for Ferrari.
dman77777@reddit
Yes if it also cost $30,000 instead of $500,000
Adiletten_Bub@reddit
Als Hyundai IONIQ 2
element515@reddit
I think it would be a cute Honda or Toyota.

Pretty decent electric Prelude.
Roboticpoultry@reddit
Slap a Hyundai/Genesis badge on it and sell it at $70k and it would sell dozens of units. Dozens
LinkParticular723@reddit
Its good for 50k. For 500??? Its terrible
PhotonTrance@reddit
For $650k? No. For $35K sure.
ApatheticFinsFan@reddit
It reminds me a bit of the Honda e. If it were some variation on that car, it would be cool.
kdesi_kdosi@reddit
its basically the new nissan leaf.
Bulky-Strategy-3723@reddit
No
egowritingcheques@reddit
If they kept the power specs and rebranded as a Geely for $65k I think they would tens of them a year.
kcraybeck@reddit
Kinda looks like a Lotus EV, but I still don't think I'd want to see this from Lotus either. Maybe a concept/future looking Toyota or Lexus?
Mr_IsLand@reddit
of course, yeah - much of Ferrari's history is beautifully crafted sports and exotic cars - this is not that. If that badge said Hyundai or Toyota, totally different conversations.
Eugen039@reddit
It looks like a concept taxi designed by Fiat or Peugeot, which was then given to Ferrari.
DayTraditional2846@reddit
It looks like a Honda EV
newoldschool@reddit
it's from a different era if this was 90s or 00s I could believe it's a Ferrari
Nuggety-Nipples@reddit
The Purosange is impressive in the flesh, but i can’t see anyone looking at this and saying “Corr!!”

Cute $45k Honda E sedan.
$500k+ Ferrari? lol, no
VampyreLust@reddit
It's like Kia had a Polestar division. Imagine how many people have to see this car in its various stages of design and give it the OK for it to be released by one of the most well-known racing, hyper car, supercar company in the world. And then put a $640,000 price on it. It's almost like they don't want you to buy it hmmm 🤔
SpinningYarmulke@reddit
It looks like it was designed by Logitech.
cromagnum84@reddit
No. Looks like all the other electric crap. Why not just make a beautiful car and then make it electric. I would t want to be able to look at a car know it’s electric.
dth1717@reddit
If it was 50 k
bootylord_ayo@reddit
Everyone saying Kia and shit are better looking than this, and that it looks like a 40-60k car….. No. Look at the interior, look at the subtle design cues around it. The understated but aggressive form. The paint they have used. The cockpit is amazing. Then you go and sit in and feel most of the current electric car interiors and they’re plasticky as. This is a premium auto, and sure it has a premium price tag well no shit…. It’s a Ferrari. They have actually made a pretty cool ride, it’s stubby looking but it’s still mean, the interior has the race feel with the half yoke kind of feel and the switches etc. The 40-60k electric cars on the market are mostly either cookie cutter Chinese crap, or are that boring Tesla style with no beauty or passion…. People just think that because a lot of newer less expensive cars have bells and whistles that previously only the high end autos had, they’re amazing. Well no that’s not true. Bells and whistles don’t make a classic auto. They make a mass market family wagon. And when you are someone who appreciates the design and the entire experience you’ll learn that.
not4urbrains@reddit
It looks like a Lucid Air went on study abroad to France for a semester and came back wearing a beret and smoking a cigarette out of an extender.
Numerous-Impact-434@reddit
Ferrari looks at Ford Mustang Mach-E, and says hold my beer.
LankyBastardo@reddit
I think it would fit right in with Polestar.
Church_of_Realism@reddit
$645,000 for a car that looks like a Honda.
goldenautomotivellc@reddit
Honestly, yes. If this came from a design-forward EV brand or a boutique manufacturer, people would probably praise it for being clean and futuristic. The Ferrari badge just sets very specific expectations, and that’s what makes it more polarizing.
Mammoth_Duck4343@reddit
The Ferrari stock price went down by more than 6% this morning. Still, if it would be a new Kia or Honda, it would be fine.
linkheroz@reddit
It's not a great looking car, it's not a bad looking EV, it's a disgusting Ferrari.
S4t0FJWRA@reddit
if it's something like a Jaguar or a BMW or a Ford given how similar the front end is to a Maverick and priced at about 80k 90k i guess it could work, but as a Ferrari, it feels like an insult
No-Honeydew-8593@reddit
Kia! Me and a friend had this exact conversation earlier today.
TheCrudMan@reddit
Sure I mean it looks like a Hyundai.
merkakiss12@reddit
Honestly, in black it would look great, some pale or muted colors too. I think the EV blue is a big contributor to the bad look.
Blu3_Phoenix@reddit
Yeah but its like saying these greasy fries would be appreciated in a kebab shop but they're being served to you in a michelin star restaurant known for its exquisite cuisine. Ferrari can do better.
H1Ed1@reddit
Looks like something from Lixiang Auto. Kinda like a mix with the Li Mega and the Li i8 to me.
oscik@reddit
If it was $35k Honda, Toyota or Ford downscaled by 10-15% in size, the public would love it.
There is no other luxury ev car on the market besides RR Spectre though, and only the Ferrari is 4door, so I'm pretty sure that It will sell just fine in Monaco and Middle East.
PoolRamen@reddit
As I posted elsewhere, if it was a Peugeot or (at the highest end) DS reboot I'd get it.
Dominionix@reddit
Fiat.
Spike_Spiegel@reddit
Honda Prelude EV
Squozen_EU@reddit
Depends on whether it still costs $660k really.
SubRedTed@reddit
So bad…
0D1246@reddit
I think it's decent looking but it's not styled as a Ferrari. If it was more like the purosangue i think people would like it better. And that price, holy moly. So yeah if this was a Hyundai/KIA/polestar whatever (also in pricing) i think people would look at it differently.
GeneralCommand4459@reddit
My first thought was it was a new Opel, before I read the title.
