Anyone gotten their Sam5 from this batch? How is it running? Id seen a random comment somewhere about someone saying it was still violently over-gassed for them.

Was the comment referring to the ones from this sale? I keep seeing people commenting how batch 61 is over gassed but they are older rifles.
I bought the sam5 from this sale and picked it up a week ago. Shot it today, did slow mo, granted i only tested 1 brand of 223, the bolt was not slamming into the rear. In fact, it appears it wasnt even reaching the most rearward point of potential travel. The gun shot very softly, but maybe my ammo was not higher powered.
Lotta that common reddit crap going on i feel like where people keep parroting who have no real first person experience because A) they dont actually own the stuff and just parrot, or B) dont actually shoot their guns.
Just my 2 cents. Mine shot extremely soft and smooth and is batch 61

What year was yours? Mine had a test target in the box that showed a date it was test fired- 2023 for me. . .

Mine arrived this week but i have not had time to shoot it. I did notice that the test firing documentation shows that it was test fired in 2023. So not sure if that was right after the overgassing issue. Like said earlier, when this deal was first posted, Arsenal themselves stated in a comment that all of this batch were ported correctly. Could be true or could be malarky. I just need to get out and shoot mine to see I suppose . . .

AKs were cheap because they came from poor 3rd world and communist countries. This ak is made in a higher cost of living / quality of life, first world country, with a milled reciever which requires even more input / work to manufacture. So yes, its expensive, but its because its not exploiting people...
