My RX 7700 XT just died, do you think this is what killed it?

So recently my PowerColor RX 7700 xt died, I will be buying a replacement but I don't want this to happen again.
My PSU is 650w, and I had to daisy-chain my GPU since it needed 2x8 pins and my PSU didn't have any other cables.
Is this what killed it? What am I supposed to do to prevent it happening again?

No, daisy chaining your gpu has no play in your gpu dying.

I read it could damage the GPU&PSU though

How did it fail? Doubt it though

My system can't detect it. I tried with a different GPU and it boots fine
