Those buildings in the background were where Saturn V rocket stages, Space Shuttle external tanks, and most recently the SLS Core Stage for the Artemis program, were/are made

Remember the result, all CFM56-3 had to be modded with VBVs getting shaped doors and slides for hail removal, spinner cone changed shape as well and I think flight idle got raised.

I'm training out of New Orleans Lakefront Airport for my PPL and have flown over this patch of ground many times since it's near our practice area. The levees are by far the best places to set down when we do emergency engine failure maneuvers, since pretty much everywhere else is water and swamp. Doesn't make it any less disconcerting!
