Where to find roommates in DFW that won't try to wear my skin as a suit?

Just wondering if there were any other local groups or places to find people besides like, here or craigslist? I'm in my twenties and all of my friends are either still living with their parents not looking to leave, or living independently with their partners. I figure there are probably FB groups for this sort of thing, I just don’t really use it so I’d have no idea which ones to go to.
My ideal situation is to rent a home with a 2-3 other people to offset cost of living- other people around the same age range would be nice but I'm flexible. Obviously I know finding that many people who I don’t already know to all agree on a place would be much easier said than done though, so I'm really just open to anything in the north Dallas area that's close enough to my job and affordable.
Rent prices are still crazy rn, I would love to just live alone if I could but genuinely don't think I can afford to without eating sleep for dinner every night 😭😭 any recommendations on where to look here would be much appreciated!

It's a joke, referring to the movie Silence of the Lambs

That I'm looking for someone who isn't dangerous or crazy... you know what a joke is, right?

It’s 2026 and DFW is full of weirdos who moved into the area

Look into local Catholic Churches the people are usually nice and keep to themselves. Sounds crazy but I’ve seen tons of listings at my church for Catholics trying to live on a budget plus you don’t have to worry about them bringing girls home or partying

When i was 26ish i found a Facebook group for girls, posted trying to find a room to rent. It was month-to-month, $500 which included utilities and a shared bathroom. I was able to save a bit of money. The flip side of that is that the girl who owned the house was not very clean. The kitchen was always a disaster and i had to resort to eating a lot of take out meals, or just eating simple sandwiches with the one shelf i had in the also shared fridge. It was ok for like a year but got so sick of the mess, i had to leave. You do what you gotta do, just know having roommates kinda sucks most of the time. People can be very inconsiderate and dgaf.
