The food and beer here is probably the best I've had. Way better than the states, Canada, Barbados and Mexico which are the only other countries I have been to. Haven't had anything bad yet here. I have considered moving to a small fishing village and becoming a hermit
Most of the produce is grown in greenhouses powered by thermal energy. I was wondering why ICELAND had the best tasting salad I'd ever eaten in my life until I visited one of the greenhouses and suddenly it all made sense.
The Hlemmur Mathöll at the south end of Lagaveger had the best pizza ever and the best steak and potatoes I'd ever had, too. Einstock beer is not to be missed either, they have brews there you can't find in the states.
Really hoping to visit the country and pop in some day.
Morbidly, my first time hearing of this place was in some true crime podcast or something. Were some fisherman murdered a girl.
I think either the girl was in the bar earlier that night before her disappearance, or the CCTV outside the building happened to be one of her last sightings.

Nice! My girlfriend visited it a few months ago and bought me a coffee mug from there lol. Definitely a place I'd like to go to if I visit Iceland.

Sometimes you eat the bar, sometimes the bar eats you

I mean maybe. I think the food here has less sysco in it. More original flavors
