To be fair some of that cost covers production, transport, or when it's not a store brand the cost of buying that produce. Obviously there's still a markup for profit which only a small fraction of will cover wages, but it's not like the entire cost can be attributed to the cashier.

As a german, I need to say it like this: You arent necessarily "wrong" per se. He WAS a charismatic person in his speeches. But what went on behind the scenes was way more fucked up than you think. In German schools, history class about the nazis is way more in depth than just talking about hurr durr Hitler bad he caused the holocaust ; no. Its not just that. Jailing or even killing political opponents, anyone that dares to speak against them, fuck up the school system to a degree that treats him like a god and already starts treating children like upcoming soldiers (even doing life threatening exercises in sports class that can legitimately kill students), propaganda (the usual), and so on. He is the definition of corrupt, he basically ticks all boxes. Sure he may have contributed some good, such as the roads, promoting vegetarianism and quitting smoking campaigns, but the good does not outweigh the overwhelming bad enough to consider him a net positive in history
