Normies lives their lives like they are dreaming, they don't want or have needs to be different, that's why they're called NORMIES.
The ones that want to be special era the WOKE shit
darkness876@reddit
It’s such a large spectrum that anyone can claim to be on it because they exhibit the tiniest relation to a symptom of autism
CaptainKino360@reddit
"I don't like chewing on broken glass, it must be an autism texture thing"
BrocoliAssassin@reddit
I have Anhedonia and that reminds me of the nonsense people say on that sub.
People are complaining that they don't sweat a lot, they aren't getting the flu, they don't sneeze or yawn like they used to, the "LITRRULLY" forgot what the definition of family and friends are & all sorts of other nonsense. I'm stimming!!!!!
then you'll have the one person that chatgpt's everything to find a connection to Anhedonia, like the webmd version of "you have cancer" diagnosis on everything.
The constant obsession about hyper analyzing everything except for the traumatic and actual stuff causing their problems.
Alive-Big-838@reddit
I sometimes think I might have Anhedonia but It's not really a special thing to have. I'd actually much rather not frankly.
BrocoliAssassin@reddit
It fucking sucks. It's like living life as a zombie, theres no reward or hope with this condition, just about everything sucks.
It's the new depression that people don't believe it's real, so if you want to get help, no one wants to understand and everyone puts you down for it. They think you can just buy things or go on a vacation and people can't get it through their head that our brains don't make that reward anymore.
I get it, for normal people it must be too hard to believe that awesome things can't bring you joy, believe me I know, it's fucking horrible. I've been broke all my life and I finally have money and all I use it for is to live this miserable life. I can't use it to buy me happiness. But even after I explain to people that I need this money to live life like rent, taxes, food, etc it just goes through their lack of thinking and all I get back is "so give me your money!"
You lose your self esteem, your hobbies are boring, music sucks, movies and shows are boring, books are hard to keep track of, your memory gets shot, you lose friends cause you can no longer relate or enjoy.
Then I go on the anhedonia forums/subs and try to help people. But you got the crab in the bucket mentality plus the retardation of redditors. They are constantly looking for problems on top of Anhedonia. They will take anything positive and wrap it as a negative and theres this one dipshit that convinces everyone that they 1000% have every disease known to mankind.
I can keep on crashing out more, but I think you get it. If someone came to me today and said they had the cure for Anhedonia, I'd give them every single dollar and object I have.

iEliteTester@reddit
Some meating software has a very creepy feature that makes you look like you're always looking at the camers.
ErenDidN0thingWr0ng@reddit
Lol yeah I can't see how that would backfire when it loses eye tracking and suddenly your eyes glitch around. One of my colleagues uses the "soften" filter to 100% and when they turn their head sometimes you'll see a full 5 o'clock shadow beard pop-in. 🤣
I'll make my view 1:1 presenter only and then stare at their forehead (my webcam is centered on that monitor) so it more or less looks like I'm holding direct eye contact without me having to stare directly into the lense of the webcam). The forehead/bridge of the nose trick does work wonderfully IRL though.

Because the label of "autistic" covers such an insanely wide range of abnormal behaviors it can be used to justify basically anything. It's become pretty useless as a term. If you tell me someone is autistic I actually now know less about them.
igerardcom@reddit
It's even more useless now that they eliminated "Asperger's" as a diagnosis.
So the guy who is a super genius but socially awkward is now exactly the same as the guy who poops his pants and cannot do anything at all.... that makes total sense!
ajbolt7@reddit
Why didn't I get the super genius part of Asperger's man wtf did I get scammed?

g_rated_pornstar@reddit
To be fair, Hans Asperger did collaborate with the Third Reich (Austrians Otto stick together) and send children to be killed.
Aspergers is DSM-5😏
WiseBelt8935@reddit

ReyofRai@reddit
from my understanding "autism" seems more like a blanket label for what can probably be classified as 10+ differnet conditions especially since there's no one gene or predictor that signifies autism in humans
YummyToiletWater@reddit
It is a blanket label. There used to be multiple different disorders, but all were compiled into Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2013 with DSM-5.
Supremely_Zesty@reddit
If everybody is autistic, nobody is
blkarcher77@reddit
For the same reason you're seeing a bunch of new "genders" every day.
People want to feel special, and they realize that they're just a normal person. They don't like the idea of being normal (for a variety of reasons), so they either make something up.
Autism is a good way of feeling special because it's a wide spectrum. There are a lot of fairly normal people who are professionally diagnosed as autistic, and there are a lot of heavily autistic people. They can exist in that spectrum whilst being able to go on the attack if anyone questions it.
BrandonUzumaki@reddit
We had it good when these people became Emo or anything like that, and just wanted to be left alone, now we have, whatever we have nowadays.

So take that guy on right, Billy or whatever.
You see, he is a calamity. A fucking disaster. Since he was a young teen, he has been unable to get shit right. At all. He has no redeeming features. He gets bad grades, he can't talk to others, he can't get a date.
His parents, mostly his father, are absent. Guy works a ton to be able to afford their way of life, probably travels a lot as a salesman, a CEO, a CISO, a XOXO or whatever regarded acronym you might come to think.
So Billy here, lacking any kind of introspection skills or self awareness, one day, realises his life sucks. He is faced with a life changing crossroads in front of him.
If he picks right, he comes to the conclusion that he is dull and obnoxious and must start working on himself to be appealing to others and himself. His father will stop offering himself to be available for every single job traveling because Billy will stop being a loser and an uninteresting cunt. He will suddenly be interesting because he has hobbies, interest, other than playing japanese rpgs nobody heard of and smelling like rotten enchiladas. People will also find him more interesting and in no time he will probably be drowning in pussy.
If he picks wrong, he decides to blame his father and mother because reasons, changes his name to Xenon or whatever idiocy that shit on the right is called, starts labelling him "they/them", dying his hair green or purple and dressing like a mentally impaired idiot. But, you see, this is not enough. Xenon is not enough, because he hates Billy. And Billy is still there in the mirror every time he checks. So keeps his flight forward. The only way he can come up with being such a walking Nurgle pustule is blaming it to some condition. But being an insufferable bellend is not recognised as a condition by the WHO, so he resorts to steal. He steals a real condition from people who really suffer from it and, in a cruel and unjust way, starts posing as one of them. Even though he is not and never will be. And, ever time his castle of cards of a reality is shaken by the breeze of reason and truth, he resorts to made up shit like self diagnostics to avoid being called out for his bullshit.
Fuck you, Billy.
Boba0514@reddit
What if I am only self-(and acquaintance)-diagnosed, but I am also like the left guy? Also I would be happy to get an actual diagnosis, but the healthcare system is fucked.
-StalkedByDeath-@reddit
Don't self diagnose. It's not a hard concept to understand.
Would you diagnose yourself with cancer? Leave the diagnosis to the professionals.
PenguinSexParty@reddit
What’s the point of a diagnosis without treatment anyway. Like I could self-diagnose myself with cancer but without treatment I’m still gonna die
-StalkedByDeath-@reddit
I think this post covered "the point" pretty well, lol
To feel special/included within a group of people you "identify with" even though you may not even have said condition to begin with.
Mental disorders can be tricky to diagnose for professionals, yet people with no expertise want to play armchair psychologist. It makes people that have actually been diagnosed look bad and ironically contributes to the stigma surrounding mental disorders/"neurodivergence" (since we can't say autism is a mental disorder).
baudmiksen@reddit
People are lonely and when they're lonely sometimes it makes them do stupid shit. The autism thing isn't even unique people love thinking they're part of some sort of group just by default which is way better than suffering loneliness
Boba0514@reddit
Yeah, but then I am just undiagnosed and that doesn't help at all in understanding myself
-StalkedByDeath-@reddit
Uh, yeah? That's how not having a diagnosis works. You need a diagnosis if you don't want to be undiagnosed.
You assigning labels to yourself just makes you look like a complete tool. You can work on understanding yourself without self-diagnosing.
coldbreweddude@reddit
What country do you live in that you don’t have access to healthcare?

coldbreweddude@reddit
It’s important to get a professional diagnosis so when people ask, you can tell that you are indeed a certified retard.
g_rated_pornstar@reddit
I don't need one of those. I could just show them my multiple OSRS accounts with various 100+ Runecraft levels, Champion Capes and pets, the Hatsune Miku fan art that takes the place that pictures of my friends would be (if I had any), and my 4chan flash archive.
That should relieve all doubt☺️

Because it's a disability that doesn't have any outward downsides.
Keep in mind that leftist morons think certain things are like world buffs from an MMORPG. Autistic, gay, black, anything 'marginalized' is good. That's why they want black lesbians in wheelchairs running everything.
Once you decode their religion it starts to make sense in its own perverse way.
derficker69@reddit
It seems like you have a disability with very strong outward downsides. Which one is it?
Ausfall@reddit
You got me, I post comments on reddit.
chanbr@reddit
It's strange tbh because people who are all in on the "neurodivergent" stuff then downplay or attack all the bad shit that happens because of said mental illness. For example, "le quirky system" when DID historically stems from such awful childhood abuse at a young age that your sense of self fractures (also it's often considered by the actually medically diagnosed patients to be terrifying since you're basically losing sense of time and waking up in a completely different area with no idea what you did or what happened to you regularly). Getting mad at someone yelling a slur on stage when he was getting an award for Tourettes and was under a lot of stress. People got really mad at Kanye who is diagnosed bipolar and was very obviously manic for several years.
LIke it's all fine and good when you're trying to distinguish yourself from the crowd but as soon as it gets to the people who see lizard-people and smear shit on the walls while delusionally rambling bigotry there's absolutely no understanding or empathy there just hatred.

There’s still a good amount of people trying to claim they have it and completely invalidate the disorder. As someone who has been diagnosed since 11 years old with an actual test (not a questionnaire) it’s infuriating. It’s not fun to have. My motivation to be a regular person is not there so operating at a normal level requires a fuck ton of effort. Even on my days off where I don’t need to be doing anything, I’m exhausted by the end of the day because my mind is always thinking and active. It affects every aspect of my life

imperfectalien@reddit

Huh?
But besides that, best estimates I've seen are Autism \~1%, ADHD\~3-5%, AuDHD \~0.5-0.6%
So about half of autists also have ADHD. Or one fifth to one tenth of ADHD...ers? are also autistic.
IAmMadeOfNope@reddit
More or less. The problem is that there's a lot of behavioral overlap between the two so diagnosis is difficult in the McMedicine age.
8last@reddit
Its gone up but when you factor in awareness / detection improvements etc its probably a negligible uptick compared to 2 decades ago.
Nighthawk700@reddit
That's because our understanding of Autism has improved and there is more recognition of traits that obviously cause distress in people's lives but don't look like Rain Man.
Not sure what you'd expect to happen. Diagnosis of "the vapors" has gone down significantly while anxiety has gone through the roof. This is a good thing in terms of giving people who need it the right treatment. Not diagnosing people who have an issue means they get no help.

Binaural_Wave@reddit
I think it’s because:
- they think it justifies poor social skills and/or neglect of social responsibilities
- they perceive it as “special” (in a good way)
- anything can be part of the spectrum, so they always fit there
- it’s an easy way to get away with special treatment
- every “normal” thing they do can be shown as an incredible feat because they overcame a (fictional) disorder
- can become instant activists by just talking about their experience (enabled by the diagnosis)
- loosely explains any quirk
- gives a sense of security to know you got something and it’s not just a shitty personality
- social perception of the disorder and all those who fake it fill In the gaps for a fragile identity
- makes sense out of any childhood experience they had
- has less stigma than any personality disorder or any other diagnostic label
- can fool anyone into thinking they’re well educated in psychology, neurology or psychiatry when using clinical language
- the savant syndrome (commonly linked to Autism) will inflate anyone’s ego when considered “a genius” at any random thing
- the diagnosis of mild cases are cause of debate among clinicians, so there’s always some profesional supporting that claim
- there’s no obvious way to tell if someone has it or not, so it’s pretty much imposible to rule out the diagnosis on a regular interaction with them
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- can help hide an egocentric pov when talking about themselves (since they’re explaining you their disorder and not just regularly talking about themselves)
- always drags someone’s attention
- gives them the power position to “educate” anyone on what they read online
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- shields them from Social scrutiny for any weird or shitty behavior
- conveniently explains emotional outbursts and/or tantrums
- gives them an excuse to detach from whatever they’re doing
- high comorbidity with ADHD is a thing, so they can now add more symptoms with their own technicalities
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- you get validation everywhere
- not only do you gather other people’s attention, you get professionals interest too, drugs, appointments and other type of benefits
- “neurodiverse” sounds cool (as opposed to disabled)
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- might get you off the hook with bullies at school. Who messes with the disabled kid, right? (Usually only works with real autistic kids who do clearly got something wrong with them)
- unlimited breaks at work to avoid “sensorial overstimulation”
- if you’re denied the previous benefit, you can sue
- people in general are more prone to act in defense of the perceived minority/injured, sick or disabled
- sometimes they can apply for government support
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- can induce guilt on friends and family when not supportive enough
- gives them a “scream whatever whenever” card (I suppose this stems out of the emotional outburst I mentioned before)
- adds victim points
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- disguises infantile personality traits
- can be combined with other special characteristics/labels not necessarily considered a disorder such as being gender fluid and what not
- it’s progressive to talk about mental health
- you can get to give an awareness conference at work (every year)
- positions the aforementioned at the centre stage of any health talk (unless you’re in the room with cancer. Nothing beats cancer)
- gives them unearned authority to talk about other popular topics such as Celiac disease, Irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety and depression and pretty much whatever they believe in psychology
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- screening can be self made online, so it’s ease to be fooled by the results (And extremely prone to bias too)
- has an active community of online support at any social media
- said community is a good place to make friends and acquaintances
- in fact, its benefits can make up for a lifetime of parental neglect
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- you get to go to the counselors office at school whenever you wanna skip class
- might even get a lollipop there, play with their toys and get undivided attention at any time you want.
- some people consider it to be mysterious
- it might help your parents not to get a divorce due to their guilt and necessity to support their kid at whatever the cost (other functional neurological disorders fit in nicely here)
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- it’s a plus for any competition. Example: Looking for a scholarship? Better chose the autistic kid
- sensorial integration therapy is fun
- therapist are very nice to you. Most people suddenly are, actually.
- sometimes you can get to have an emotional support pet
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- you get your own iPad if mommy’s fed up with you
- you get more attention than your siblings
- get extra time to turn in projects at university if you start talking about how bad your social anxiety got when asked to form A group
- (social anxiety lvl ups ASD)
- autism related sleep disorders can explain why you prefer to stay up all night (willingly)
- you’re bought cool colorful and texturized stuff
- you can reject any food you want for any arbitrary reason (shape, color, temperature, texture, flavor, size, etcetera) and have it replaced by chicken nuggets
Binaural_Wave@reddit
- you get to over identify with suspected autistic geniuses such as Newton, Einstein, Beethoven, Mozart, Tesla, etcetera
- you get to Over identify with other not so cool characters such as Elon musk and Gretta Thunberg

It is sad watching people think adhd is a personality these days. Back in the day I had to go to the rectors office so he could watch me take my ritalin. It was that or expulsion. I was fucking wild. I was embarrassed. Taking medication was embarrassing. Literally had to go to the special education hut. People these days seem to want that. If I wasn't such a huge bastard i'd probably have had my head kicked in.

To be fair women have a hard time getting diagnosed. As a little girl I was constantly being seen by the school psychologist, speech therapist, and all that. I got by in school because I was smart enough to pass under the radar but I was weird as hell. I got diagnosed as an adult just to confirm what my uncle had told me years before and I already knew. Being autistic is exhausting and not something I like to “brag about”. Unfortunately there are too many social media influencers throwing their autism in our faces and happen to be furries, non-binary, whatever group people like to hate on, and by extension that has made them also start to hate on autistic people. I’m all for awareness and education but the loudest ones always get the attention…

There's a difference between not having a diagnosis and being self-diagnosed, which is what this post is about. It isn't about autistic people that simply weren't diagnosed.
Self-diagnosing contributes to the stigma surrounding mental health conditions, so those people deserve all the hate they receive. It creates a distorted perspective of whatever conditions those people are claiming to have and causes disdain for those that actually have it. Fuck them.

Forgot to make them heterochromatic in the eyes, really get that "uniqueness" flowing.

I've got a dog with heterochromia, never realized she was autistic

They protest against labels but rely upon them as a substitution for their lack of tangible achievements or personality. The irony is so thick you need a bread knife to cut it.
