Was wondering what good deals there are for building myself a (gaming) pc.

I am looking into building a computer mostly for gaming but for other stuff too, my requirements:
- Must perform well at 1440p.
- Must have 32gb ram.
- I want it to be am5 for upgradability in the future
4 looking to spend <$900
5 I would really prefer it to have 2 SSD slots on the motherboard
6 I already have a rx6800 and an ssd
For information I am about 1 hour away from closest microcenter. I am looking to build one that plays well at Minecraft (java and bedrock), Cities skylines, beamng, fortnite, and several other steam games. I know that there are some good deals at microcenter right now and that's why I am asking. I'm in usa.Thank you.

If you're willing to make the hour drive to microcenter, they have some amazing mobo/cpu/ram bundles. have picked up two already and no regrets

Can you recommend which one I should get? I see that they have a lot of good deals right now and I'm not sure what I should get.

I see others have already recommended but probably one of the X3D bundles. Great performance. The 9800 or 9850X3D is prob the best in case you want to upgrade to a better GPU in the future, but if you think you might keep that GPU for a while and wanna save some money than the 7800X3D would be the better option.

Reuse your 6800, it will do what you are asking it to do. This list will leave you 150 or so to get case and power supply if you need that. The platform will upgrade well
If you already have a case and power supply I’d spend a little more on the motherboard

Yeah I saw that, do you recommend that one over the other ones for any reason other than it's better? Is it a better value than the others? Because I have seen some people reccomming the 7800x3d combo?

Honestly, for 100 more dollars you get a better performing (not a ton but 10-15 percent) processor that’s easier to cool than the 7800x3d. A more future proof motherboard and same ram. I think it would make sense for me personally.

Ok thank you.

If the $900 doesn’t include the GPU that you already own, you should be able to afford everything you need at microcenter or on Amazon already.
You can buy the RAM & SSD used on ebay or facebook marketplace.
Prices on those are ridiculous right now and will be for atleast another 2 years.
If anything start with 16GB (2x8gb) Ram then get another 2 8gb sticks later. 32gb is not really necessary for any of the games you mentioned.
You don’t need 2 SSD’s starting out, just get one.
500GB is probably enough and you can always upgrade later when prices drop.
For motherboard / cpu, try to find combos that include both, you can usually save \~$50 buying them together instead of separate.
Use a bottleneck checker to make sure your cpu / gpu combo works together well.
Cheap out on the case, you can always rebuild it later in a better case.
Don’t get an AIO water cooler. Just get a Tower Cooler with 2 fans and it’ll be fine.
Make sure to get a modular PSU, its worth the extra money over non-modular ones.

And I was saying I have 900 to spend+rx6800 and also the ssds. I need a CPU,motherboard, ram, PSU, and case
murples1999@reddit
Ah gotcha,
Someone else posted a Mobo / Cpu / Ram combo for $500, if thats available do that
Otherwise the Mobo / CPU is gonna be \~$300-$400
Leaves you $500 for RAM and everything else which is plenty

No I already have 2 ssds and I am going to be dual booting because I need Linux but I also want to play games such as fortnite which require windows

^(What I would suggest to go for:)

Thank you I will definitely look into this. Any reason you would recommend this over the 9850x3d bundle?
