How has the iOS age verification update impacted everyone so far?

It’s been two months since the release of iOS 26.4, and I’m curious to know how the update has affected users.
For those who’ve updated but haven’t completed age verification, have you noticed any limitations or restrictions?

I’ve never been asked but I’m on iPhone 8! I don’t know wether makes a difference plus as others have said I had a OG iPod and signed up iTunes then so 20 or so year ago. Makes you feel old doesn’t it.
eekamouse4@reddit
Haven’t noticed a difference but I did get an unexpected message from my provider that they had verified my age by how long I’ve had my phone, it’s so old it’s a wonder it still works.
Otherwise-Eye-490@reddit
No impact, I think I’ve had my Apple account long enough to prove my advanced years.
Fibro-Mite@reddit
Yup. I had a pop up that said something like "we have verified you are over based on the length of time your account has been active." I think my first iPhone was a 3.

My first iPhone was a 3G, but I had an iPod and an iTunes account before then and it's the same Apple ID
Illustrious-Log-3142@reddit
Same, finally a benefit of making my itunes account since it was possible to have one lol. Fairly sure I'm still on the same account to this day. Yay for common sense
CockWombler666@reddit
My first Apple was a “Classic II” in 1993….
MissionLet7301@reddit
Yeah, their "The account is at least 18 years old, we trust that you're an adult" technique demonstrates a level of common sense that's been quite absent from other implementations.

My personal iPhone updated with a click of a button, like other posters, I’m 50+ and have had for many years. So no difference.
My work iPhone has not updated as I refuse to put my personal details in a work device. I’ve noticed no difference to my user experience. Obviously though, I’m not using it for nsfw purposes.

I’m a menopausal woman so growing a moustache for FaceID was a breeze……
Sapiopath@reddit
That was Meta’s age verification that was fooled by kids wearing fake mustaches…
Regular-Whereas-8053@reddit
Whoosh.
Maleficent-Leek2943@reddit
A notification popped up that basically said “lol you are old, no further action needed”.
OK, it was something about how long I’ve had my Apple ID, but same difference.
Ok-Goat-3589@reddit
It hasn’t, I had a very brief pop up saying I had been a customer for long enough for them to know I didn’t need to verify. That was all I’ve seen.
Sapiopath@reddit
Interesting… I’ve also had an Apple account for over 20 years now but it asked me to verify.
Sapiopath@reddit
Uh… I set it up inside 30 seconds a few months back on the beta. Since then I’ve been asked to share my age 3 times. So overall it has made things seamless for me.
lady_is_a_one@reddit
I haven’t verified because everytime it asks I am nowhere near my ID. No change so far 🤷♀️
Legitimate_War_397@reddit
Mine updated, Asked if I wanted to use my credit card in my Apple wallet to verify age because you have to be 18 to have a credit card. Said yes, then that was it. No difference.
jado5150@reddit
Every other week or so reddit will freeze when I open it and I'll get a really laggy notification about my age verification (that I've already done). So I'll close it and carry on browsing reddit. So it's not really done much of anything yet.
AnnaMargaretha@reddit
Dismissed the notification up until this morning, couldn’t stand the badge any longer so thought oh well, let’s see what they actually want. Got classed an adult immediately based on the age of my Apple ID (16). The only impact it had was annoyance due to the red badge.
WatermoonApollo@reddit
I’ve been avoiding it. No change so far, I just get the occasional reminder.
LionLucy@reddit
I have a credit card attached to my Apple Pay, so it knew I was an adult automatically
MsMinxington@reddit
Not even noticed it happening if it did. I got age verified on here but just did that with the face scan thing. I guess I can’t pass as under age any more.. (I’m 52 and haven’t passed as under age since I was about 11).
Fuzzy_Possibility@reddit
I’m so old it auto verified me 😂 so it didn’t make any difference for me.
FearlessMeerkat95@reddit
No issues. I’ve had my Apple ID long enough it was enough to verify my age.
RevolutionaryAd581@reddit
It was a surprise... followed by approximately 3 seconds of admin... and I haven't thought about it since 🤷🏻
squishypaws25541@reddit
no difference at all
CockWombler666@reddit
It hasn’t…. Not one bit
Illustrious_Sea7480@reddit
Not at all. Curious to read other replies to see how it might.
