Is Windows 11 broken (or more broken) on "unsupported" hardware?

I've heard people saying (Linus Tech Tips included) that the Windows 11 unsupported CPUs are practically lies. Is this true? Does Windows 11 run fine (well, as fine as a newer chip) on something like Ryzen 2000 (specifically the 2600 for my usecase) or does it encounter stability issues (well, more than usual) or compatability issues (okay, they're good at that)? I don't want to run Windows 10 (and get hacked) or run Linux (because software compatability still isn't there, sorry Tux).

No, security updates, same as other will work...

The Ryzen 5 2600 is explicitly supported.

Not for 25H2 i think https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-25h2-supported-amd-processors

This list is what OEMs can use for hardware that ships with 25H2.
People with 24H2 installed and a 2000 series CPU will have 25H2 offered to them automatically as a feature update, which does not happen on unsupported CPUs.

It should not run less stable, but it will run less safe. Windows 11 requires the CPU to have certain safety features in place (hence why Ryzen 2000 is no longer on the list for 25H2) so you will run it as securely (or less) than Windows 10 because it simply can't use the parts of the CPU that is needs for added safety Windows 11 offers if they are physically not there.

The list that Ryzen 2000 isn't on is a list of CPUs that Microsoft allows OEMs to use to build new systems shipping with 25H2. Windows 11 runs on it just fine, and will even automatically install the feature update on such systems.

I'm running Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC on 4th gen i7 and it runs fine.

Should work fine past requiring manual major Windows updates - for example 24H2 to 25H2.
Only other thing to take into consideration would be drivers working on Windows 11. Most Windows 10 drivers work fine on Windows 11 at this point. I'd do a full device image with something like Macrium Reflect before attempting in-case you want to go back.

I have a friend who runs windows 11 on a ryzen 5 1600AF which is just a rebadged 2600 and it has worked fine so far.
