Have any of you been in trouble for looking 'different/alternative'?

I was just gonna say ‘not sure what you mean by ‘been in trouble’’ but that I’m a 33yr old woman and my mum still tries to tell me off about certain tattoos sometimes but that’s as far as it goes 😅 In the spirit of trying to answer your question how i think you intended it OP, i am very heavily tattoo’d - other than my face or neck there’s isn’t much bare skin left - which i think you would file under ‘different/alternative’. My tattoos all stick to the traditional style and two include naked boobs (think old pin up girl type tattoos) and one is a church on fire so like… I do make an effort to cover those if I was to go somewhere they’d be deemed inappropriate like a primary school or into a religious setting as I would expect to ‘get in trouble’ aka potentially asked to cover them but tbh I think that’s fair enough? There are certain places I get stared at more often than others - I went to Malta recently and we caught 3 different people trying to take photos of me - and I’m fully aware there are certain jobs I wouldn’t be deemed appropriate to work in was I not already self-employed. I’ve been warned some of my tattoo’s would break blasphemy or nudity laws in certain Middle Eastern countries so to be wary if I visited. Older people often quite obviously judge me initially until they speak to me. But I’ve never been what I’d consider really discriminated against for how I look. My mum has properly lost her shit over the years only twice which was my fingers and then the tops of my hands. She was not happy when she saw (what in my defence was actually quite a small one) one more recently behind/under my ear but I don’t really consider ‘well I’m just so disappointed’ a proper telling off any more lol.
