Travelling Turkey on a budget

I just finished university and would like to travel multiple countries and as there are pretty much no cheap flights from my country at this time I will be travelling to Turkey and planning my next moves from there.
I want to stretch this trip as long as I can so I want to be careful with spending. For the people who visited Turkey especially recently what are the best places/cities that that are fun for solo travellers but won't cost me as much as Istanbul?
and any tips on enjoying turkey while on budget?

I found the smaller coastal cities way easier on the wallet than Istanbul, especially if you slow down a bit instead of hopping around constantly. Izmir had a nice balance for me. Good food, walkable areas, and plenty happening without feeling insanely expensive. I also really liked Antalya outside the super touristy pockets. Even simple places serving gözleme or lentil soup felt memorable there. One thing that helped a lot was eating where workers and families eat instead of aiming for trendy spots. Turkey has some of the best budget food I’ve had while traveling. fresh bread, grilled meats, soups, tea, and little breakfast spreads. I still think about a tiny lokanta in Izmir where I spent almost nothing and somehow had one of my favorite meals of the trip. Also, buses between cities were surprisingly comfortable and much cheaper than I expected. Night buses saved me a few hostel nights, too.

Firstly find some accommodation that's a good price on the net and make sure it has a kitchen. Then, use the budget supermarkets - A101, BIM, SOK - to buy your food and you'll find your budget stretches an awful lot further.

If you’re set on Turkey and just finished college, go down to Kadir’s Treehouses or similar places in that area.

Generally speaking the east of the country is much cheaper than the west. Not sure how much this applies to the Mediterranean coast though. I believe that the Black Sea coast is much cheaper than the Mediterranean coast.
Last year we spent time on Kos and in Bodrum and found that Kos was much cheaper and offered far better value for money than Bodrum did. Kos in in Greece, Bodrum is in Turkey but considered a luxury resort. I learned that Turkish doctors and lawyers were actually going on vacation in Greece because of how much cheaper and better the offerings were.
Last summer at least the inflation in Turkey made prices seem totally disproportionate for what was offered.
