Finally finished with my first color change, I returned the Felicia Fun back to the OEM 2 tone yellow and put the wood bed back in

This is my 2nd ever paint job and 1st time doing a two tone paint job or color change. It's not perfect by any means and needs a bit of wet sanding to clean up my clear but it looks good from 5ft away so I'm happy with it overall. The last 2 pictures are how it looked before

Wth is that? First time seeing the car, it's like a mini El Camino. Yellow is very bold for such a small thing.

I saw one of these for the first time last year at the big VW show in PA (L’OE Show). Sooooo cool!

The gentleman who's buying this from me said he will be taking it to the L'oe show this year since he's only an hour away over in Lancaster

It's essentially a 2nd gen vw rabbit that we never received in that states. It's the rarest variant skoda ever made, only 612 were made in rhd and there's only a little over 100 still left on the roads
The rear bulkhead folds out for a rear jumper seat like in the pics or it can fold back in flush like a regular cab truck so you can choose if you want a 2 seat or 4 seat truck. Also even though it's only a little 1.6l vw gas engine, it can haul 2k pounds behind it and a bit over 1k in the bed so you can haul most atvs, dirt bikes, or even motorcycles in the bed

Super useful it seems. Really cool car/truck.

looks way better with that two tone! how long did the whole color change process take you? painting is such a money pit but so worth it when you see the final result

Thank you! It came out to roughly 2 months of working on it in my off time which was a good bit longer than I was expecting but it's because I was getting nitpicky with the bodywork trying to make it 100% perfect especially the bed and then the taping and painting took me a bit longer as well due to the same reason
The paint and supplies alone were well over $1k because the paint ended up being around $100 a pint for my local shop to mix up but I was originally quoted at 8k and 12k by other shops to do it so it was definitely worth it for me to save all that money

Thats an awesome little truck!! Good work on the paint

Thank you!

Oh man I remember these, you could slide the rear seat into cargo space to have half convertible right?
Suydans_Imports@reddit (OP)
That is correct and they even had a very rare oem option for a removable soft top to cover the rear seats whenever they were folded out

That’s a rad little rig. I love it. That yellow is perfect for it too.

Love the unique vehicles i see in this sub. I had a set of those same bottlecap rims that I ran on both the mk2 golfs I had when i was 17-20 y.o.

Fuckin' rad.
I'll expect you here at 7am to start on my Camaro.

Some says that yellow is odd colour for cars, I say it is perfect! Especially if add some subtle black lines to it!
